Seems like every year since the current system's been in place, we clamor for this transfer guy or that transfer guy 4 days after the season ends, but we end up with "better" guys coming in because there's more names to enter the portal later and the staff is patient and working better things that we as fans don't see.
Similar situation in the coaching search when Groce was relieved here. We all were clamoring for a couple coaches and no one had Brad on their bingo card.

There's still the guys who enter the portal AND put their name in the draft only to back out of the draft later though.
I'm confident that come Octember, there will be a couple roster spots occupied by guys not on our (fans) radar now.
