From reading the tea leaves, it sounds like the staff will push hard for retention, which gives us a high floor. Then will try to raise the ceiling with Blackwell, but of course it’s possible he goes elsewhere. Duke won’t be easy to beat. But even if we do miss out on Blackwell, we likely have the resources to land a solid replacement.

It’s a good time to be an Illini fan.

I think the Illini staff may have won the argument with the agent IRT Petrovic and Bilic. Not a show stopper. Both sides appear to get it now. (hopefully)

Can you expand on this a little? Just to clarify what happened here. I didn't think there was much that needed to be explained with those two.
