I can't imagine that you would pay even a highly rated recruit a lot of money for what's going to be a redshirt freshman year. Nothing stopping them from transferring. You get a season to be around them and see if you want them, and how bad. They get to use your training facilities, coaching, and of course, get an education.

In today's world, you need to be a LOCK 1st rounder to forgo your eligibility. I'm not sure Vaaks is that caliber of prospect (which should bode well for us).

I hate to say TITLE or bust cause it’s so freaking hard to win 6 in a row in March and April. But we could be nearing that territory soon. It’s so fun to be in this spot.
Maybe I’m overthinking, but assuming stoj comes back, is Blackwell a major plus for the squad? Because if the 2 main freshman are as good as I think they are, that’ll be 8 HIGH IQ, HIGH talent guys, with 4 ball handlers on the court at one time and an even better mirk to run the offense out of the high post area. Just the puzzle really looks well put together
