With everything we’re returning and what’s currently in the portal and what other teams currently look like, we should not want 5th year free agency to help 2-4 other teams get to our level.

Purdue an example but there’s others (just look at the fringe top 100 NBA players).

Without that, we’re likely 1 of 4-6 teams that enters the year as true favorites…we don’t want that number to be 10 teams.

Spoke to Kylan yesterday, first of all a class act! and great rep of the uiversity. It was his 21st bday yesterday and he had a nice PIT tourny. Sounds like he will be transitioning to pro ball work outs as much as we wished he had one more year.

Lol who's Blackwood?

Assuming you mean Blackwell, he's junior, not a freshman. He started 1 game as a freshman.

Yes I think Coleman will be very good.
I doubt that any of our freshmen will be as good as Blackwell who will be a senior. They may be as good or better than him when they are seniors.

Wagler may have been our best freshman ever. If any of this year's freshmen are that good it will be awesome and shocking.

This is has very little depth, which is going to hurt us.

We'll book it in now but realize it once the season starts.

Only guys who are capable of playing a minute of hotly contested big ten basketball: Vaaks, Coleman, Stojakovic, Mirkovic, Tomi, Z, Jake, and Morillo.

An injury somewhere which we always have, or someone may not pan out as good as we originally thought....and we'd be in trouble.

Guard depth is zero.

It felt like we had an opportunity to build a true championship contender. There's just no room for error with the way the roster's constructed.

Please go look at other rosters. We have eight guys that are really good. A couple more that can be serviceable behind them. What do you expect? You aren't going to have 12 guys that are all top level in this day and age.
Hate to praise scUM in any way (but they did win it all, we should strive for that)… but what are your thoughts on our depth compared to them or 23-24 UConn?

I feel like scUM going 9 deep may have been their greatest strength, esp bc they were able to stay fresh all year and weather the loss from Cason’s ACL tear.

I think you could see an addition sometime during the summer.

I expect one more, but they are (as has been said) very confident in the incoming freshman. My expectation is an add sometime June or July, probably from overseas.

On Kylan-that door is not closed if something is passed soon. I would not count on anything though.

Why an overseas add and why not until mid-summer. Brad said it was important to have everyone there this summer. A summer international guy might not arrive until end of summer. Is it to save money vs pulling someone from the portal?

Maybe I just need to see the freshmen and Vaaks after this summer. And also maybe last years Michigan team cast a big shadow is all I’ll say.

Never the less I love this team and can’t wait to watch them gel and play together!

Other rosters: we GO INTO the year with 10 players who COULD play at any given time. This year it's 8. That's the difference.

We'll be ranked highly preseason because the pollsters favorite stat is returning production.
