Feel like some radio silence usually means we are cooking up something.

No, I am specifically pointing out the narrative that Morillo is going to be a 4 at all. There were those that said he was our “back up 4” or our “emergency 4”…….. which is problematic.

1st reason: He is not a 4 and I would be STUNNED if he was our emergency 4, over Jakstys.

2nd reason: There was a narrative that because he is our “backup 4” or “emergency 4” we are doomed. There was a whole discussion about who he’d be able to guard at the 4. This dovetailed into “well what about the backup 4’s, could he guard them? Which then dovetailed into “any good coach would immediately put in their starting 4 against Morillo.”

But if we can just agree that Morillo is not a 4….. as a backup, or emergency…… we could finally grasp that we do have our backup facilitator and on ball guard. Which is what he is.

I expect Coleman to be great, but there's a chance that Morillo has an even greater impact. A fairly thick 6'7" with with high bball IQ and PG skills, and has now developed a pretty consistent three point shot. If he can defend (always a challenge for a freshman), this dude is going to play a lot.

As I've said before, I would pay money to see the runs this summer.
Coleman is a stud. With his shooting ability, shot creation, and even athleticism.... would be shocked if it's not immediate impact (unless he's awful defensively - don't expect to be the case).

Morillo at this moment is more raw (compared to Coleman).

Michigan just got the big 7’2” kid from Cincy. Ugh.

Looks like Morez is going to the NBA. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Michigan offered him late first-round money, estimated at just under $3 Million. Based on what other bigs are making, that is awfully low. Plus, he will start the clock on the second contract. I think Michigan just shut the door on his return.
Kid is going to fail in the NBA, might be a G League star though... I'd bet 10 beach houses on it!

No we can't agree because you're arguing against a position that virtually no one is taking.

Morez declares for NBA draft while maintaining college eligibility.

If Michigan is only offering what he'd make as late 1st rounder, zero reason to stay in college. Given what bigs are getting, if he had any thought to staying in college, he should have entered portal. I think he'll be a top 25 pick in worst case in a loaded draft

I'd take Morez in a heartbeat over "#1 portal guy" Floral Bumdonga in Louisville. You can't teach Morez's motor.
