its the weakest of the five major conferences. last year in particular, the league was very bad.Big East is not an "average" conference, it's a pretty tough league. Really hard to see him doing well there based on what we saw of him
I agree his comparison is off.But the comparison was to two “unlike” players. Pettigrew is Pettigrew.
Up to 80th in the 247 composite after being ~160th beginning of the year...
He’s going to be very very good.Up to 80th in the 247 composite after being ~160th beginning of the year...
Five years ago we'd all be worried he's rising too fast and the blue bloods were gonna steal him if he got "too good". How things have changed!Up to 80th in the 247 composite after being ~160th beginning of the year...
The Illini bump!Up to 80th in the 247 composite after being ~160th beginning of the year...
It's been really top heavy the last several years and pretty down the last few tbh.Big East is not an "average" conference, it's a pretty tough league. Really hard to see him doing well there based on what we saw of him
In general smaller guards tend to not produce super early when reclassing. Boswell in particular I think would have had a better college career had he not reclassed. The staff has taken 1 reclass in 9 years, have built monster teams the last 4 years which included turning down a reclass that they weren't 100% sold on.
Avoiding litigating Jeremiah Fears aside, seems like it's a reasonable assumption to trust the staffs eval.
I had to look up Pettigrew because he does not play like he's 6'3..In general smaller guards tend to not produce super early when reclassing. Boswell in particular I think would have had a better college career had he not reclassed.
Fears is the exception and he went to a great situation where he got to be the guy right off the bat under Moser. Though maybe we will see more of it with the 5 in 5 passing.
The difference between Brady and Boswell is Brady will be 18 his freshman year if he reclasses, a year older than Kylan was his freshman year.In general smaller guards tend to not produce super early when reclassing. Boswell in particular I think would have had a better college career had he not reclassed.
