Well, he doesn't have to commit immediately. If MI were a serious contender, he could just wait it out, then make a call next spring/early summer.

We're going to have plenty of money to spend, so my assumption is that if Brad really wants him, he gets him here, but who knows. I assume nothing. If MI hires TJ Otz......that wouldn't be ideal.

I'm no recruiting expert but seems like Kitt is on his way to be a top 50 kid by the end of high school

Saint-Supéry signed with Valencia in Spain, which was where Sergio De Larrea was playing. (25th pick in the draft) They gave him a bunch of the money freed up from De Larrea's contract.

I think a lot of us underestimate how difficult it can be to move overseas at such a young age. He gets to be in his home country, up the coast from his hometown, and still make a bunch of money. As De Larrea illustrated, if you play well, you can still get drafted. Liga ACB, where he will be playing, is widely regarded as the best domestic basketball league outside the NBA.

Gonzaga also lost another one of it's starting guards Jack Kayil, to the draft. (#39 pick->Knicks) Many were expecting him to return in early projections, so the backcourt there is a huge question mark.

I think it's really both. Makes way more financial sense for him and he gets to go home and play in a great spot.

4 years 15 million fully guaranteed is far better than what he was likely making at Gonzaga(2 mil?) and I believe euro deals are reported as net pay after taxes so that would be equivalent to making like 25 million over the next 4 years in the US.

So he gets to go home, gets set for life guaranteed money and could still end up eventually being drafted if he wants to go that road. Plus the draft situation is better since he doesn't have to declare and can stay in Europe until he feels it's the right move.
