Wonder if security will let us bring actual paint. Is it still possible to paint a stadium orange even if the capacity is 8,000 out of 67,000?

I like the odds for Illinois, Purdue, and Michigan State
!!! snagged 2 tickets in nose-bleed 628 !!! reminds me of being in upper deck and endzone along with a sea of 30,000 orange in 1989 Rd1-2 (but then lucky to be in the row behind the band for Sweet16/Elite8). tried but unable to get Sat/Sun tickets.Just got my tickets. Can’t wait until Friday to be at an actual sporting event. I will be the one in orange.
Did you get them from the stadium or did you go through a third party?!!! snagged 2 tickets in nose-bleed 628 !!! reminds me of being in upper deck and endzone along with a sea of 30,000 orange in 1989 Rd1-2 (but then lucky to be in the row behind the band for Sweet16/Elite8). tried but unable to get Sat/Sun tickets.

Arrgh had to watch that game in Arlington VA visiting my then future wife's close friends and was the only person interested in the game. Really had to watch my tongue amid lots of snide remarks or maybe the marriage gets called off. LOLLittle history lesson. There were many in 1983 who felt we should have played in a national football championship game instead in the Rose Bowl against a top 25 UCLA team. We got rolled by that average PAC10 champ.
Bottonline, energy and focus has to be to continue to win games.
Harper Jr is buddies with a few of the Illini guys, if social media is accurate. No doubt he's a great kid, this is solely based on aesthetics only. However I will allow a substitution of Mulcahy for Harper Jr.
Don't worry. It's why I allocated 3 spots for Wisconsin players on the list, take your pick; you can't go wrong.Harper Jr is buddies with a few of the Illini guys, if social media is accurate.
Plus, Brad Davison is clearly a first-team All-punchable player. Leaving him off would be a travesty.
Should be interesting to see if many Indiana fans will show up. I guess if they beat Rutgers there will be a glimmer of hope. Most of them are ready to pack it in and send Archie on his way.Fun fact, we still have the third all-time best winning percentage in the BTT, even though we have only gone 7-12 since reaching the Championship Game in 2008 (anyone remember that little Cinderella run??). Before we faced Wisconsin in the 2008 Championship Game, we had amassed a 21-9 (.700) winning percentage in the BTT, easily the best all-time at that point, with two BTT wins and 5 Championship Game appearances
We still have a pretty darn good 28-20 (.583) record all-time, and we have an even more impressive record at the United Center - 17-8 (.680). Don't let anyone tell you home court advantage doesn't matter! With that said, let's pad those stats a bit more in Indianapolis, where I expect to see a decent showing of Illini fans if tickets are at all sold in a normal way. I have to believe schools like PSU and Minnesota will not be bringing droves, right? I would think that if we make it to the semifinals, there will be a lot of orange there? Who knows, though ... kind of a weird dynamic. Let's go out and win one Friday to ABSOLUTELY lock up that 1-seed.

The common belief is that he is a dead man walking. No tournament for five years although they probably would of made it last year. I don’t think Drew would leave Baylor and I think Beiline is too old to face that pressure box. The 2 names being brought up lately are Matta and Chris Mack from Louisville. Matta still has health issues so it would be interesting. He grew up on the state line and was a Hoosier fan growing up.Let's hope Archie sticks around and does just enough to stay long-term. Some of the names being thrown around as his replacement are scary...Scott Drew, John Beilein.
IMO IU is a sleeping giant that just needs the right guy

Archie has a $10.4M buyout this year that drops to $3.5M next year. He will get one more, which means Beilein gets a year older before this job may open up. On the other hand, Lil' Archie is 0-7 vs. Purdue, and they hate that in Bloomington. In fact, my Purdue friends point out that its been 1843 days since IU beat Purdue (Crean lost his last 2, so its 9 in a row).Let's hope Archie sticks around and does just enough to stay long-term. Goodness gracious. With Brooks injured, Michigan is an EASY faaaaade. I get that Illinois/Iowa on the same side of the bracket complicates their lines, but +150 for Michigan is a huge reach.
It would be interesting to know, over the last twenty years, what % of National Champs also won their conference tournaments that year...Magic number is 9. Win 9 and we are Champs.
