This isn't just one game of seeing Ty's offensive skill set. He literally has never attempted a 3pt shot or really even a 15ft shot. I am actually shocked teams haven't dared him to shoot or guarded him it all on the outside before Painter took this approach from the jump. I don't think all teams will do this and in those games Ty should be fine but we will see it more often now from some and certainly vs Purdue. When that happens Ty will have much less PT. He must hit some midrange shots to demand being guarded or it kills our offensive flow to have a big guy helping out everyone else and ignoring/daring Ty to shoot.

When was the last time Ty ever hit a jump shout outside of 8 ft in the B10. Stop expecting things from Ty we have never even seem him attempt much less do. There's a reason Painter didn't commit anyone to Ty outside the lane. He doesn't score like your implying!
. Why do you think Painter did what he did and why BU only played Ty 13 minutes? Stop drinking Orange Kool Aid.

Also pissed off? This MSU team, I’m sure, with how their season is going. Talented Izzo team that’s underperforming is a lowkey tough test, but I think we match up well and will take care of business. MSU is one of the smaller teams in the Big Ten, which is the type of team we’re best against. Domask will have a big size advantage on anyone they stick on him unless they try Hall.

Where did I write jump shot? I said I’d like to see him try a floater as he’s going toward the basket, and follow his shot. Just because he hasn’t done it yet doesn’t mean he can’t or won’t. He’s improved his FT shooting, so why not this. I don’t know how you get kool aid out of that.

Ty did shoot some floaters last year. Looked pretty good doing it in my memory.

I find myself wishing more players would add that shot to their game. But then I remember that I'm 38 and it took me 20 years of playing to develop a reasonable float game.

Just because Edey hasn't shown is the aJoker 2.0 draining 3s doesn't mean he can't either. Come on man, if you think Ty attacking with floaters in the kane vs Edey or other biga is whats going to draw them out of the paint and open up, space and take advantage of Coach Painter's scheme then call BU and let him know. Ty needs a 15 to 20 foot average jumper or the threat of one vs that type of D or he needs to sit. I hope he shows it. He'll he hasn't even tried and why do you think not? If he could shoot then BU would allow him to.
