There's no chance a game like this would get postponed would it?

I doubt it. Especially with it being the last week of the regular season. And they won't have the games go up against Championship Weekend stuff.

That being said, they did post this article stating that they are monitoring the weather with an update regarding parking: https://fightingillini.com/news/2025/11/28/fighting-illini-football-winter-weather-update.aspx

They are telling people that park in a couple of the grass lots to park in paved lots and that if you choose to park in grass lots, you'll basically be on your own for any costs related to getting your car out if it gets stuck.

EDIT: Looks like Dan just beat me to it lol.

I live here in town and my son and I are going. Gonna bundle up with everything we have and see how close we can get. Figure there will be lots of empty seats we can take over.
Just like old times. Buy a ticket, sit almost anywhere you want. I bought many tickets on the streets outside Memorial Stadium over the years. I didn't care about location.

Fortunately I snagged a paved spot so at least that's not a worry I guess.

I wonder if they have any consideration to moving the game up a day or earlier in the day. Maybe Fox agreements preclude that.

I wonder if Grange Grove will be open? That’s all grass. Will there be the normal pre-game festivities?

if there is snow all day and we have +6”, they will be lucky just to get the game in .

How does one do that these days either tickets being digital?
Good question. I've seen a few resellers out and about but not many. I'll stop and ask next year as I can't imagine anyone will be out tomorrow.

I have seen signage as a meeting point for ticket pickup but I don't think that's for reselling.

I haven’t been to a live sporting event since before Covid (not because of Covid, just because my local choices are meh), so I don’t have any clue how buying tickets on the street works anymore. And I used to be quite adept at finding the regular Joes who just wanted to unload extra tickets vs dealing with scalpers. I feel out of my element now.

Seatgeek has lots of $2 tickets to get you in the gate. After that nobody cares where you sit. Actually I’m sure they’d prefer you be down near the field.

Should be a memorable experience!

Debating about making the drive tomorrow from the west burbs. I.have passes for the Illinois tent which is great and seats in the colonnade club. What to do.

Will they clear the snow from the seats?

Use a cane. Need a clear path.
That’s tougher. Get tickets anywhere on the east side and sit under the Balcony. You’ll enjoy ecent sight lines, shelter from forecast SSE winds, and no snow. In fact if it warms enough (supposed to rise to/above freezing during the evening) it might drop some wetter frozen mix, but you’ll be dry.
