Debating about making the drive tomorrow from the west burbs. I.have passes for the Illinois tent which is great and seats in the colonnade club. What to do.
My guess is interstates will be heavily salted white, so temperatures just below freezing will leave the pavement only wet? The wild card is wind and drifting. The outlook will be clearer tomorrow. I’ll jump out on I-74 mid-day tomorrow to run some errands here in Peoria to confirm the above guess, then decide.

Leave tonight before the snow storm and get hotel room. The far west burbs near me are expecting possibly 8 inches of snow overnight into tomorrow afternoon.

Gies Memorial Stadium Sellout Watch for Northwestern:

First, apologies for not providing more updates lately. I don't know if the four straight sellouts got my out of my habit or what, but anyways, back on the horse...

To be expected, this will be the lowest announced crowd of the season, but I still expect it to break 50k. Without looking, I'm curious when we last had a Thanksgiving weekend crowd above 50k. Of course, the actual amount of butts in seats/snow will be incredibly low. That would have been the case even without the snow. I estimate tickets sold/announced attendance though.

My tracker indicates somewhere in the 51-52k. My official attendance guess for tonight: 51,250.

Through the first 6 home games, our average attendance is over 59k - what a great sign for the overall growth of this program. We fans can be proud of that even if the results on the field end up failing to meet our preseason expectations.

This is going to be an interesting game. Hopefully our run game can wake up and we ball control this game. A win will most likely get us to Nashville. I would think Michigan goes to the Citrus Bowl and Iowa to the Reliaquest Bowl.

Passing game is going to be tough with these conditions. On offense that's not good for us. Defense they've been better against the run than pass but have been really vulnerable to misdirection plays. NW is also a good running team so a tall task.

Looking back over the year, I find myself consistently making my prognostications based upon the "recency effect." In this case, I just can't get the loss in Madison out of my head. Horrible game. I then throw into the equation today's weather and lack of fan support in the stands --- and finally top it off with Northwestern's opportunity to tie us with a 7-5 regular season record. Momentum and motivation absolutely favor the Wildcats.

21 Cats
16 Illini

(8-3 in predicting the winner; 4-7 vs the spread). AT LEAST WE'VE GOT THE BEARS!!!

Why don't they play this game at Soldier Field like how UGA and GT played it at Mercedes
