Any interest in getting this league up and running again? I could set it up if there is.

I'd be up for being in any sort of fantasy football league you guys are doing. Type of league doesn't really make that big of a difference to me as I'm cool with playing in a normal league, auction league, or even a dynasty league if anyone wanted to do that.

Looks like we have 6 right now. No rush with the season still a couple months away. I'll wait to set up the league until we get a head count.

Just created a standard 10-team league on ESPN, but can change the amount of teams if we get more interest. If everyone can PM me their email address I will send out invites.

Sent out a few invites to those who PMed me email addresses. Let me know if you have trouble joining the league or setting up your team. First time I've managed a league on ESPN and I'm trying to get used to their setup.

I've sent out 8 invites at this point. That leaves two more spots for anyone interested. Also, if I've sent you an invite please set up your team so we know you're playing.

Is everyone ok with August 28th at 7pm Central for the draft?

Shouldn't be an issue

Right now it's TBD. Open to anything though.

Just joined. Should be fun.

You're the captain, TownieMatt, so I'll go with whatever you set up. FWIW, these are some things that, from past experience, I think make for a more competitive and interesting FFB league than the ESPN standard setup:

1) 12-16 teams better than 10, if possible to find that many active participants

2) Two QBs (ideally, because QBs are fun), or if not that, 6 point per QB TD (personally I like QB scoring to be more of a factor than the 1 QB, 4 pt. TD default set up ESPN uses)

3) At least two W/R/T flexes, rather than the one W/R/T ESPN gives you (flexes = more strategy, tougher lineup choices every week)

4) I can live without kickers (who cares); would definitely rather have the extra flex or third WR slot instead

5) PPR or 1/2 point PPR

Thanks -- let's have a great season!

Thanks for the input Auto! Definitely open to removing kickers and adding a flex. I hate kickers too. Also am not opposed to a 1/2 PPR. I'm personally not a fan of two QBs, but have no problem with 6pt/TD.

Anyone else have thoughts?

Edit: Would also be cool with expanding the league, but we'll see how many we can wrangle up. Currently have 9 invites out and 7 that have signed up.

I'm against removing kickers as a position in this league. Kickers are a lot more important in fantasy than most people realize.

Two starting QBs only works in smaller leagues. If you're doing it in leagues that are 10 or bigger, you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel in later rounds. I'm fine with 6 points for QB TD.

One flex is good enough, especially if you're doing W/R/T. Even doing two flexes as W/R might be too much depending on the league.

I'd be okay with PPR but let's have it be full point PPR.

Thanks for the wisdom!

So here's how we'll set things up for now:

- 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 Def, 1 K
- 6 pt TDs, Full PPR

Little concerned about scoring being too passing-centric, but I'll let others weigh in.

One more spot left in the 10 team league! PM me if you want in!

I prefer the one QB approach and keeping kickers. Even if it is fantasy, more realistic. PPR -- don't really care for. How is that different than carries for a RB. A guy catches 6 balls for 4 yards... did he really help the team. Passing centric -- reduce TD passes points???

I'm good with no PPR if that's the consensus. I do like 6 pts for a passing TD though.
