Admittedly, I was being facetious with this post in an ill-fated attempt at “Lou Holtzing” our Hoosiers visitors into over confidence… but it’s shocking how right I was with everything but the final score — and even on that I wasn’t far off. Just UNDER estimated it.

Story of my life. Even when I’m right I’m wrong. 🫤🤷🏼‍♂️

What a disheartening loss. Just crushing.

Cignetti might be the best coach in college football. A real Saban-type.

Yes everyone thought that because we returned our entire offensive line we were set and they would be our strength. Problem is they were mediocre last year and haven't improved at all and actually may be worse. Our offensive line play hasn't been good for a few years now. Something drastic needs to change for us to legitimately get to CFP caliber level. New coaches or better recruits. That's what Bret needs to work out.

I am always fascinated by the number of fans that scream about how this is "unacceptable" or there must be greater "accountability." Do they think that BB, Whitman or others find it acceptable?

On a different note, what does this do to attendance next week? I fear tickets to the USC and OSU games will be flooding the secondary market.
I think that question always surfaces when fans see continual issues in the same areas. The only name I've seen bandied about is Miller, and frankly a switch at OL coach is overdue. We've struggled there both schematically and in recruiting.

1 game, good or bad, does not define a season. The UConn loss does not define the 23-24 basketball team. The Michigan win does not define the 24-25 football team. It’s about the full picture and the program has great leadership with BB and Luke. All we can hope for is a positive response by the team and put last night behind them.

Why is BB solely blaming OL when this defense allowed 63 points and that too thanks to Indiana only rushing during 4th quarter not to embarass a fellow Big ten team.
The offensive line was supposed to be the bread and butter of this team and combined with the QB, it was the thrust of a top 15 preseason ranking. Yeah, they deserve to be called out. Can't bask in the glory of success unless you're willing to fry in the oil of defeat.

It was painful seeing defensive penetration up the middle in to our backfield on regular basis. Not sure if that's on Kreutz, Hansen, or Henderson or the scheme but ouch man.

Keep hoping for "a friend of the program" to post that Bret sees the deficiency and will be correcting said issue. In reference to the coaching staff

Some time has passed … My feelings remain the same …

Pathetic showing last night … Embarrassing … Unacceptable …

OL play and development … Unacceptable … Time for a coaching change … Period …

TOUGH ? SMART ? DEPENDABLE ?

WEAK … STUPID … UNRELIABLE …

That’s what I saw last night …

We doubled down down 60 and got starters hurt …

DUMB !!!!!!!

Giving up 63 ??? Can’t happen … Henry got EXPOSED …

Bret has A LOT to fix … I know he’s working on it … But it starts with staff changes …

And his answer last night that they didn’t have any answers ???? UNACCEPTABLE … PERIOD !!!!!

hiring replacement coaches *in season* may prove difficult. coaches may be very receptive, but they're not going to leave their current head coach/school holding the bag. but fully agree, heads should roll and not after the season's over

Kreutz and Henderson both had visibly horrendous performances, not just scheme wise, but they were losing 1 on 1 battles at the line of scrimmage from the snap. Kreutz was overpowered, Henderson was just whiffing. I can't imagine he did much better but I didn't offhand notice Hansen, so maybe that's a positive? Scheme was not good, but if we're not getting blocks from the RBs or TEs and our OL needs additional assist blockers as well against 4 man fronts, that leaves very few options. Play goal line the whole game? Not even sure that would've avoided pressure last night the way we were playing

Oline pride! Line looks slow and weak. Not being able to pick up a stunt or blitz at this level is pretty bad.

Henry needs someone with dc experience on the staff.

Kreutz gets rag dolled out there. He is giving up size and gets pushed around. Henderson just isn’t good right now.

What’s crazy is the last 3 weeks we’ve seen the same defensive game plan and have struggled every week against it.
