Jaylon Tate's attorney said they have information they will share w/ authorities that "will make this a quick & favorable decision". #Illini
This plays into KNunn's social media declarations.Tate's attorney sounds confident.
In cases where there is domestic violence involved and an arrest is made, is there "No Drop" meaning that the prosecutor must see the case through??
I'm diggin Tom Bruno's stache BTW.
Copy of NG coverage at today's arraignment.

Quick question to all the legal experts out there. In cases where there is domestic violence involved and an arrest is made, is there "No Drop" meaning that the prosecutor must see the case through trial even if the victim wants case dropped??
If Tate's accuser said he punched her, then the police had no choice but to arrest him. If his attorney has real evidence to the contrary, he will get a chance to present that.
... On the topic of this thread at this time, here's the latest news link: news-gazette
Let's assume that JT is proven to be innocent and did not batter this woman.
What are the consequences for the accuser if she provides a false claim against somebody instead of the actual person who battered her?
Is she trying to protect the other person by accusing Tate? Or trying to get back at him for some other reason?
URBANA — The attorney for University of Illinois basketball player Jaylon Tate said he received email from Tate’s alleged victim recanting her accusation that he struck her over the weekend.
Tom Bruno of Urbana told The News-Gazette on Tuesday that he received two emails from Hailey Pieruccini, 19, in the wake of Tate’s arrest for domestic battery. The first said Tate had not hit her and was not present when she was struck. A second email said she did it to herself.
