Her hitting herself goes along with the info I was given. Good. I was hoping that was true.

Question, Tate was arrested, right? Why would he be arrested if the police had no physical evidence other than her statements?

When its domestic and one person is beat up and they point the finger at someone, that person is getting arrested. At that point, it's on you to prove you didn't do it. Messed up, I know.
I understand that, but why arrest him right away without getting more facts/evidence?

Yeah I get it, just really messed up of a person to make something up and potentially ruin someone's life that is completely innocent. Wasted amount of cash and resources for the innocent.

If he was in a bar on campus on a Friday night, you'd think there would be plenty of witnesses to pick from among the bartender, waitress, patrons, etc....
Doesn't that go with 2? She falsely accused him for some reason. In this instance that reason is potentially drunkenness...
Conceivably, she could be charged with obstruction of justice. But she probably won't be. If things got to the point where she was giving false statements under oath, that's perjury and much more serious. We're nowhere near that point in the process and may never get there.
The original article from the N-G quoted her as saying Tate hit her once. That's why he was arrested.Question, Tate was arrested, right? Why would he be arrested if the police had no physical evidence other than her statements?
