Jimmy Fitzgerald transferring from Illinois

Not great Bob

Are we just going pure dual-threat after this year? Does JG Jr. even have a chance?

Chayce Crouch and a true freshman Cam Thomas are not exactly what I had in mind as options next year.

I figured Jimmy fit what McGee wanted to a T. Dual threat that can pass a little. Maybe not.

I'm guessing they go after a 5th year guy next year.

I think George might of turned some heads and he might of seen that he was falling in depth chart. I think fitz saw that George passed him on depth chart and with what is coming in he decided to move on. Hate to see him go though that's for sure

I don't really believe george has a chance either...they'll have a dual threat qb ready to be a true freshman contributor after crouch grads

George is more mobile than Lunt so I think he will be the number 2 but will have to wait and see.

George is so far from ready that he shouldn't be scaring anyone. He has potential but he won't be starter ready for at least a year but more like 2.

I thought Fitz and George both looked better than Crouch during the spring game. Maybe they just had a good day, but they impressed me.

I thought JG looked better than any of the backups in the spring game. I know what type offense they are looking to run but don't believe the team is ready for that direction yet. The roster built the way it's built seems to be a couple years away from the style play they are looking for.

Makes me wonder if they already have an "iron in the fire".......

They'll do whatever to have a mobile qb winning games for them which LOVIE let mcgee gave full reigns for his offense....so I'm sure crouch will be the guy next yr with whatever dual threat qb coming in to either redshirt or get snaps

Here's a Bolin highlight for those dreamers out there....that said, he isn't actually great or anything but would almost certainly be better than the other options we have to start in 2017. Might make it as a team captain this year despite being a backup at Louisville.

My coworker that is a Louisville grad loves him. Said he will always have a special place in his heart for coming in the Kentucky gave as a backup and throwing for 400 yards.

Game experienced RS Senior... count me in if that is a realistic option.

All the way back in 2011, Illinois was actually the first to offer Bolin. Obviously a different staff now but interesting nonetheless.
