Anyone heard if Kouma is still in the picture looks like on his Twitter he planned on coming back ?
I could see a healthy BBV as a huge surprise. In the spot minutes he played, he showed great athleticism and court awareness. He has a great basketball IQ from the little we saw of him. I’m hoping he’s 100% on our first tip off.View attachment 5933
Great to see BBV still invested in the team. Could really use him against bigger opposing 4’s next year.
Ayo is not gone, he may still return. And Trent is better than AlanThis will hurt more than people expect. We lost our three best perimeter players. Expecting freshman to come in and fill that void immediately (if at all) is a big, big bet.
Trent isn’t better than AG. Just stop. He might be a better fit for what we are trying to do, but he isn’t better.
Yeah, I highly doubt when it is all said and done, very many people would trade Trent's career for Alan's career. They are two different players but I actually would say Trent is a better overall player (scoring, passing, dribbling, defense), opposed to AG (3's which is super close, and rebounding)
Apples and oranges.Trent isn’t better than AG. Just stop. He might be a better fit for what we are trying to do, but he isn’t better.
No doubt that Miller and Curbelo will be big for us next year. But we also have Grandison and Hutcherson who are juniors. They will be replacing AG.This will hurt more than people expect. exactly.Amazing after all the heart and soul that Trent has poured into this team for 3 seasons that AG could be considered 'better' by anyone that isn't trolling.
Mr. Pence, are you really AGs Mom? Don't get me wrong, I am an AG fan, but better than Trent?Trent isn’t better than AG. Just stop. He might be a better fit for what we are trying to do, but he isn’t better.
He may be more valuable in this laundry list of intangibles but one place he wasn't more valuable than AG last season was on the floor. There's no tangible metric you can use to say Trent was better. It's not even really close.I agree, I would not trade for anything. Trent in the end will be remembered for his love of playing, his steadying play, and his love and commitment to to the ILLINI family/program. I will take Trent 10 outta 10 over AG. No slight to AG, he will do well in life either way and at Cuse...just think TF is more valuable to us overall in all respects.
It ain't personal, it's basketball. If you're brave enough to take a look at Trent's numbers from last year it's pretty glaring. Somebody texted me his bball-ref page from last week and I think I physically recoiled.Amazing after all the heart and soul that Trent has poured into this team for 3 seasons that AG could be considered 'better' by anyone that isn't trolling.
That's a lot of unknowns to bet on, including a freshman who's about 170 lbs soaking wet. I think it's very fair to expect some growing pains early on.No doubt that Miller and Curbelo will be big for us next year. But we also have Grandison and Hutcherson who are juniors. They will be replacing AG.

Can't be stated enough how vital Trent has been to this rebuild.
He is sometimes the forgotten piece, but if you go back and watch the film you will see just how many game-winning plays this kid makes.
One of the most unselfish kids I have ever met. Having a huge freshmen year then being told you aren't the go-to guy anymore, most kids would have transferred...
