So I've never actually listened to espn radio here in Chicago, only heard about how much they hate Illinois. Tuned in just now and then are absolutely just ripping Illinois. About how scummy Whitman was to go behind cubit's back and interview before firing him(what if Lovie said no after expressing interest... We would have been screwed), how this creates an at atmosphere where anyone could get fired behind their back, how Lovie is an unknown and might be an upgrade over cubit but maybe not because what if he can't even recruit and how if they were a qb they wouldn't go to Illinois unless they loved the offensive coordinator. That was in like 5 minutes of talking.
As if our "known" before Lovie was so fantastic.
There will be naysayers and this hiring may fail, but it cannot be said that it wasn't the biggest, boldest attempt available to Illinois
