I've never been that concerned about guys with no coaching experience becoming a pro HC. The team just needs to make sure he's surrounded by veteran coordinators that know what they are doing and will be mostly autonomous on their side of the ball. Oftentimes head coaches are there more to oversee everything, handle the media and off field responsibilities while the assistants are doing the real work. Was anyone else thrown back that Josh McCown was a legit candidate for HC????
Love him, seems like a really great dude. But no coaching experience to HC in the NFL? They are pulling that crap in baseball already. I never thought it would make it to the NFL
