Here's hoping Luke heals quickly and can come to the team soon. And if not, this would be the time to consider maybe a red shirt year if things don't work out as well as it was hoped to be.
We should take out the appendix of anyone who's out for 2 months. No kidding. Last year we had five years’ worth of injuries. I was was hoping w the law of averages, we’d swing the other way and be healthy this year.
We ain’t that deep - we are down to 10 scholarship players and TSJ and Mayer have dealt w back problems for a while now.

I’m no doctor
Don’t agree. A break is often better than a sprain or tear. If the surgery goes well we should definitely see him this year. Biggest challenge will be catching up on conditioningI’m no doctor (but I did stay in a Holiday Inn), but this injury sounds like a season ender. January return is kind of a dream.
So we do have a bacta tank...As Josh pointed out during his Ubben tour, the physical therapy area has the finest recovery room in the country.

A message board can never have too many doctors.
Hopefully it's a Jones fracture and not a stress fracture, I imagine their nutrition is on point with their personalized plans. Otherwise there may be more things to be worried about. Usually a ligament tear in the foot would be a season ender or worse so I agree.Don’t agree. A break is often better than a sprain or tear. Medical red shirt is my guess with no medical knowledge. Here's hoping Luke heals quickly and can come to the team soon. And if not, this would be the time to consider maybe a red shirt year if things don't work out as well as it was hoped to be.
Does a JD count? I mean, it is a doctorate...A message board can never have too many doctors.
count me among the nondoctors here. But I thought that some of these surgeries are less required these days but rather recommended. Modern medicine basically has ways to use surgery to improve outcomes on fractures that previously might have had only a cast.Do we know what type of foot injury it is other than it requires surgery and he is projected to be out til January?
Too many unknowns to make any guesses yet. My biggest concern will be conditioning when he returns
They will not miss him at anytime this season. The more talented players that are now on the roster will makeup they difference while Goode is out. Plenty of better options than Podz. This is where we miss Podz.
EhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhGet well, but don't rush it. Foot injuries are sometimes difficult to recover quickly and rush it. This is where we miss Podz.

With big strong people flying around on a hardwood floor, injuries are inevitably going to happen. We sure have a lot of injuries for having the finest S&C Coach and recovery room in the country.
I'm not saying our facilities aren't top notch but I've never heard another P5 coach, AD or recruit coming out of an official saying they had the second best only to UIUC.
