Looking back, I think CASH35 called this one first. He's now 2 for 2. (Admittedly, the confidence level was a little shaky this time around.)

Still -- nice work Cash. Easton rocks!

SFC -- congrats for also giving us a quick confidence builder in the minutes leading up to the announcement! Your info was accurate.

With Alstork, Frazier, and Smith, the Illini have added three players who can score from NBA 3 point range and can get microwave hot. The Illini perimeter defense better be ridiculously good, though, because this bunch has no one who can guard a 6'9" guy down low.

6"9" guys down low aren't quite as effective on offense when they are sucking air from trying to get up and down the court keeping up with an athletic team determined to push the ball on offense on every possession.

Never once thought he'd be anything other than an Illini. I was told pretty much day 1. How does some guy from Easton know anything lol??

Also I'll save my inbox from being blown up even more, I'm not sure who the next commit will be at this time, but I'll be sure to tell what I can when I hear something. I L L

Clearly, at this point, you are the man in the know.
I salute you sir, and look forward to further good news on the recruiting/transfer note.
Gracias

Mark Alstork joins Scott Beatty and Michael Kiser on tonight's 'SportsTalk' on WDWS 1400-AM (5-6 p.m.). Call 217-356-9397, text 217-351-5357 or listen live here: http://player.listenlive.co/47651

Unfortunately, their interview with Alstork lasted only about 10 minutes, so it has ended already.

I highly suspected something like this was the case. Another reason to love MLT, as if we needed one.

Anyone know if MLT is looking for a grad assistant position? Brad should consider hiring a guy who can sell the program like he did to Alstork!
Per the News Gazette:

Visit complete at Illinois, LaTulip said Alstork had just one question for him.
“One of the things he said when he went on the visit is, ‘I can’t believe you left this place,’ ” said LaTulip, who transferred to Wright State for an opportunity to play after graduating from Illinois in 2016. “I told him any criteria you have, Illinois will check the boxes. ... You’ll be taken care of even after you graduate. I still have people I talk to from Illinois. It’s one big family.”
