Best part of that article:

He’s only considered a four-star recruit, but scouts say his talent is blue chip level. Smith had originally planned on playing college baseball for Missouri, so he missed more exposure on the AAU basketball circuit, which likely explains his four-star rating.

I had hope for putting the past behind us when Whitman was hired.

I had faith in the present when Coach Underwood was hired.

I have confidence in the future with Mark Smith's trailblazing decision to commit to the ILLINI over MSU, Kentucky, Duke etc. because he and his current teammates have the right stuff to win while representing the University in the right way.

It really is OSKEE WOW WOW BOOM TIME again! If only the Chief were here to see it . . .

He is such an impressive young man and we are going to be in top 3-4 teams in the Big 10 in football and basketball for the foreseeable future.
