purdont lost to nebby and nu............................It happens.............................

So many shots that rimmed in and out ....the one by ty that circled around the top part of the rim summed it up for me.....Just wasn;t our day.............

our defense was lacking in defending the 2 man game with Young and Reese.....................Cohawk getting 2 fouls with 10 minutes left in the first half hurt big time......So many rebounds were in our hands then out......QC with the ball being deflected off his leg by Reese was another big play that didn't go our way.........

it will be intersting to see what the media thinks when the AP Poll comes out tomorrow..........So many teams in the top ten lost this weekend that we might either stay where we a5re out or fall to # 12 or 13....................JMHO

Maryland's been living rent free in the Illini's head for almost the entire Underwood era, like a homeless family squatting in a billionaire's vacant estate. We got outhustled and outplayed badly the whole second half, the familiar script when we play the Terps.

Bad game. No real issues with coaching on this one. Lazy in the first half, and then a 3 for 24 stretch in the second half (9 for 40 total half). Maybe guys are still sick. Regardless, don’t think we’ll have that poor of a shooting half the rest of the year.

It was already hinted at midway through the game thread by an insider. And frankly, based on how they were playing, I can buy that certain players were hungover today. We played really abnormal today
If true, then we really are mentally soft as a team. With no leaders. That's inexcusable for this program.

In a game where Guerrier struggled the whole way through, Hawkins was in foul trouble, and both of them looked exhausted at points, Dain still gets what, 9 minutes? Hansberry with 0. DGL with 0. I guess at this point it's clear what Brad thinks of the bench.
Amani is still out with a back injury. With Hawkins in foul trouble, we were very thin. That said, yeah, Dain probably should have played more today especially as Guerrier struggled in the 2nd half

You play on Thursday night and basically play 6 guys. You give it all. You have been doing that the last several games. It has been a 6 man rotation. You can not do that in the big ten. We looked like 6 tired guys today. Legs, bodies, everything was moving in sand. We must increase the rotation.

Without Shannon, this team is not top 25.
We're going to find out over the next few weeks. I think it's a borderline Top 25 team, but could easily see them falling out of the rankings and into the second tier of the Big 10. You can't lose this game today at home and expect to compete for a Big 10 title

Shots.....Didn't.....Fall.........
Exactly. As poorly as we played on defense, we could have been in single digits on shooting percentage. Anyone keeping track?

That said, women are leading Northwestern 58-27 in the third quarter. If you have BTN+, drop in. It will help.

I hate it but that performance really took a flamethrower to my expectations and therefore excitement for the season. This is a very bad Maryland team and they will continue to be very bad. If we had lost to Michigan State I’d be sad but could rationalize it. This? No way to rationalize. Destroyed my belief that the strength of this team was avoiding these types of losses with the balance they have.

Hansberry was ruled out before the game and DGL was or is sick so probably not 100%. I don't think we can draw any kind of conclusions like that.
