another season with 3+ losses at home.

Self lost 2 games in 3 seasons at home.

Even though I frickin’ live for Illini games, I felt more anxious for this than excited … but I was still excited.

I’m feel literally nothing but terror for Sunday’s game. Winning stops bleeding and little more … we’ve already tripped multiple times. Being swept by NU to start a 3-game losing streak … I think that sinks this ship.

This feels SO much more depressing than coming to terms with the 2023 team. :/

So clearly Maryland said, ok their big man is out, let's pound the paint. We had no one able to stop it. We had no one able to slow it. With Ivisic, the game would have been different.

But when you shoot 21% from 3 while taking almost 30 attempts, you're going to struggle. We take the 6th most 3s in the nation and we are 244th in 3pt% and will drop again. Every time I bring up these stats, our ranking in 3pt% keeps getting lower.

How can we blow out Oregon on the road and get blown out by Maryland at home? well we have a team that just stands around chucking 3s and we're not good at shooting them. When we're on we blow people out. When we're off we can lose to anyone.

This game is perhaps an aberration because of no Ivisic, but we've also survived shooting so poorly because we own the boards. This game we lost the rebounding battle. I'm guessing we've won 0 games where we haven't won the rebounding battle.

Appreciate you posting this as a reminder, but talk is cheap. He’s not getting the team to follow through consistently.

Honestly we just are a very soft team. I tried telling everyone months ago. I’ve quite literally never seen a player so soft with the ball as KJ. I know that’ll ruffle some feathers but it’s the dog on truth. This has been the Kylan Arizona fans have warned us about for about a month now. Riley doesn’t do anything but a spin move to nothing. We are a really poor shooting team. We are very soft. Might check out the rest of the year I don’t see this changing. ✌️

my sources close to the team told me that the whole team is sick with the flu right now. also, the team goldfish Lobstar died this week. we will be fine

Brad will act tough in postgame.... "B1G Ten basketball... woodshed.... But then will blame missing Tomi, Will, and other guys not being 100%, etc.

We are getting absolutely nothing from our bench outside of DGL …

He’s the only kid who’s got the fire …

Jake Davis tries hard but that’s not good enough to play here …

Carey Booth isn’t good enough to play here … That was a mistake in recruiting …
Bench points 21-2 Illinois.

15 of the 21 from DGL.

Part of the thing I see regarding turnovers is that we dribble way way too much. I'm not sure what we are trying to do (or maybe not do) in the half court, but it seems like a trend under Brad. Too much standing and watching. No movement.

We seem to always be a team that needs a couple guys to go make plays on offense. That's not a great recipe for success.
