For as much fun as this season has been, I'll probably look back at it as bittersweet. While Illinois has reestablished itself as a legitimate factor in the B1G (at least the B1G West), ultimately there have been so many missed opportunities going all the way back to Indiana. This really could've been a special season instead of the precursor to (hopefully) special seasons to come.

Played great, but we lost our margin for error the previous two weeks, not today.
Not the result we wanted, but we showed we can play with the big boys.
The games against MSU and Purdue were worse than this, and are a better indication of how Illinois still finds ways to shoot them selves in the foot.

We're getting everything we ever asked from Illinois football but the wins. It's exhilarating and heartbreaking at the same time.
That's on us. Have to run better plays that last drive. Don't give the refs a chance to help set up THE GAME. I hope they both kill each other.
Extremely proud of the effort. Hate that last offensive series. Not quite as much as I hate Fichigan. Hope Ohio State beats them by 30.
