I don’t think Brad was ever gonna believe in DGL. He seems to hate small guards. Which makes the pursuit of Petro all the more puzzling

However, Tre did get in the doghouse last year and it seemed like an attitude issue, and then the rumor was he was demanding a bigger role. We brought Andrej to be an alpha scorer and that hasn’t really worked out but I don’t think Tre would’ve excelled in that role either. And who knows what kind of attitude Tre would have had once we handed the ball to Keaton.
Two quick last thoughts on Andrej: 1. It’s interesting that he was an exception to Brad’s rule these days to try and get shooters and skilled ball players and teach them everything else and 2. I do think if we can get Andrej for a second year he can take a leap and my comp is Ben. Tonight notwithstanding, Ben has been on a different world from a toughness EDG perspective this year. It Andrej can take a “toughness leap” like Ben he can be first team all BIG good.
I personally think he'll be with a 4th team next year. Not sure he's worth the money, tbh.
Keep Tre, keep Morez, pass on one of the Ivesics and keep Gibbs-lawhorn. A three guard rotation of Wagler, Boswell and DGL would have been very good. We win the Big 10 this year.

5 out is only great if you are making shots. This team is ice cold. When you put all your eggs in one basket like underwood has with this offense, that’s the result. They aren’t changing anything and are clueless when the ball doesn’t go in. Just like last years team.

Michigan came into our gym and punked us. Their front line straight up bullied, toyed with and outclassed our entire front line from beginning to end. They knocked us down middle of the 2nd half and we never got back up or tried to get back up.
Id hope Mirk can develop more consistently into that.
Michigan Frontline is the best in America. Bringing back iv Bros & Mirk will be one of the best in America. It's just not anywhere as good as what Michigan currently has. Yaxel & Morez will be off to NBA after this season IMO.....Mara could be as well (I could see him returning to develop his low post game a bit more and gain more strength). All 3 are undeniably IMO 1st round NBA picks
I honestly have no true beef with Morez.. Kid earned playing time last year- was losing it to Ben, who he was outplaying. Transferred to a better team and got paid doing it. Good for him- Bad on the staff.
I'm honestly shocked at all the homers that are acting like this is fine.. I guess I just need to become an apathetic basketball fan and accept good... We just got absolutely waxed by Michigan- not one moment in that game did it feel like had a chance or were even on par with them.

I'm not going to take anything away from scUM. Morez punked us so hard...and Yaxel put his chest into Wagler for 25 minutes...so kudos to their gameplan and execution.
If we meet them again we'll have to shoot 55%+ and play a full 40 minutes of all out defense to beat them on a neutral court.

First of all, Michigan is fantastic. They do EVERYTHING at a championship level. Give them credit. They are 28-2 or whatever for a reason.
However, our competitive spirit, our fight, our effort, our passion wasn’t there all night. That bothers me a great deal.

That's the scary part for me. Sometimes, it's right in front of you, but no one sees it. We could be getting back to possible loss in R2 territory. Not there, yet, imo.
The effort has always been there with Ben regardless of the performance. I don’t see that with Andrej. Hope he turns it up for the balance of the year and then enjoys a nice career finish somewhere else.

While that sucks to hear, it was different years and different timing. Adjusted for NIL inflation, it's probably far from outrageous.
