The tech was on the bench per BU.Hit our free throws? Win.
Underwood doesn't get teed? Win.
Less home cooking from the stripes? Win.
I'm bummed but excited for the rest of the season.

Pretty sure Larry bird did it in a game and made it and it was waived off as out of bounds or whatever. That was a long time ago.Serious question, can you or can you not shoot over the backboard?
Laying the ground work for future games.Technical was called on the bench.
Tomi played with strep throat. Been on antibiotics past three days.
I’m shocked that Brad is not completely ripping the stripes. He just called High Knees one of the best refs in the country.
I realize it’s been 41 years so plenty of time to change a rule and from this angle it’s hard to tell for sure, but to this day Jay Edwards insists this shot went over the back of the backboard. You can't, but the ball needs to be completely behind the backboard when going over it. No part can be over the side of the backboard, seemed like it might have been pretty close.
Humrichous didn't make a shot the last 38 minutes of the game either.Despite all the bs in this game, if we get anything from Tre we win easily. What is going on with him?
We don't need a few calls to beat them handily. We just need a fairly called game. Shoot, even some mild home cooking against us would have been fine. We were very clearly better than them, at times even without KJ.Hope we get a few calls February 15th. Won't have any members of this horrendous crew though. Hopefully never again on the road.
He’s biting his tongue in the postgame. He seems to be low-key seething.Technical was called on the bench.

I love it. Just lie about the liars and give them nothing. But yeah, the BigTen employs these guys for a reason. They are the best at… … what they do.He just called High Knees one of the best refs in the country.
Leaving KJ in with 3 fouls to play matador D and then pick up his 4th foul didn't seem very strategic.I disagree. And I’ve been critical of Brad as a in game coach. I think he adjusted as well as possible to the horrible officiating and bogus foul trouble. He had us in great position to win it.
Nice assist. I forgot that one.Hit 1 of our last 10 3-point shots? Win
One of the most infuriating games I’ve watched in a long time. This is on Brad. I’m sorry. You just can’t get a Tech there. No matter what.
Free throws and layups cost us. Again. No poise in the second half. Terrible bouts of offense where we couldn’t even get the ball inside the 3-pt line.
And yes, criminal levels of officiating. Like shocking. Even for Big Ten officials. And there will be no repercussions. Taking our best players out of the game with just unbelievable calls.
We should have beat this team by a lot. They’re not good. And we could have still won this many, many times if we had just had our heads about us. Too many boneheaded plays.
Huge missed opportunity. So disappointed.
No win situation there. Not necessarily bad coaching.Leaving KJ in with 3 fouls to play matador D and then pick up his 4th foul didn't seem very strategic.
The team missed 10 free throws and went 5-24 behind the 3 point line. Missing KJ for virtually the entire game and only lose by 2. Quite remarkable really, and I think will be very helpful come March that these games are still winnable.Humrichous didn't make a shot the last 38 minutes of the game either.
It absolutely did. You can't make that shot from that spot without going over the backboard unless you are a magician.I realize it’s been 41 years so plenty of time to change a rule and from this angle it’s hard to tell for sure, but to this day Jay Edwards insists this shot went over the back of the backboard.
It’s neither here nor there, really. Boswell’s shot just reminded me of this.
A much happier ending in 1989.

Did you see that 4th foul!?!???!!!!!Leaving KJ in with 3 fouls to play matador D and then pick up his 4th foul didn't seem very strategic.
And I should know, I'm from Effingham. That was an effing joke. An absolute effing joke. Highway effing robbery.
Jay Edwards was a monster but his foot was on the baseline when he shot that. Never mind. Set up one of the great all-time NCAA basketball climaxes. And I do mean "climax." I still vividly remember standing in my living room on Chalmers Street watching Nick bury that turnaround J from beyond the hash.I realize it’s been 41 years so plenty of time to change a rule and from this angle it’s hard to tell for sure, but to this day Jay Edwards insists this shot went over the back of the backboard.
