Lest we forget or overlook
Stepping on a defenders planted foot isn't a foul when he literally isn't touched anywhere else!Yes. Bang bang play but yes.
If Tomi has his hands up and is ready for the dish, it's a dunk. We were operating very well offensively. No need to let Izzo set his defense. I'm fine with no TO.Brad not calling a timeout on our possession with the chance to win with the clock expiring was a mistake. The big reason why is because KJ isn't on the floor. May have been better to call that timeout to get the guys reorganized.
A lot of the analysts said this team may not win the Big 10 but has the best shot of the conference to win a natty. We need to reel off six straight now and hope the standings tighten up
Considering how poor we have looked on set plays this year out of timeout, he would have been criticized for calling timeout as well. I personally liked not allowing MSU to set their defense, especially with our best player on the bench (and the way we looked the previous possessions).Brad not calling a timeout on our possession with the chance to win with the clock expiring was a mistake. This conference has not won a National Championship in 24 seasons. I believe the !!!! show that is Big Ten refereeing is the main reason. Our teams are set up for failure every year because these kids expect tournament games to be called like regular Big Ten games. There is something going on here that does not pass the smell test.Yea, KJ's 3rd and 4th fouls were head scratchers![]()
I mean letting a guy foul out is better than saving fouls for him not to play, but I think Brad should have went to bat for him with the officials way earlier.Offense was stagnant without him. Do not fault rolling the dice
They took away our best player and we still had a shot at the end. We're the better team
Showed a replay during the game and absolutely the Spartan stepped on KJ's foot.Bit did he step on his foot? I'd like to see a replay.
More like fronts
Honestly it's more the shot selection than the shooting.Well, I agree the shooting wasn't good enough. Missed some free throws by guys that generally shoot a high percentage.
Well said. USC and NU games hurt waaaayy more. Refs were awful and we were still right there. Couple of free throws and a different decision by Bam on that last drive and we could have pulled it out. Frustrating but not unexpected. Still think this can be a final four team.Losing in East Lansing is not the end of the world. Loved the fight we showed late. We didn't make enough threes or free throws to overcome the loss of KJ. Still lots to be encouraged by with these young guns.
I’d much rather watch todays game be physical than the free throw contest the TN game wasThis conference has not won a National Championship in 24 seasons. That is a rediculous post. That wasa terrible passIf Tomi has his hands up and is ready for the dish, it's a dunk. We were operating very well offensively. No need to let Izzo set his defense. I'm fine with no TO.
Except they very nearly did.Starters 1-17 from 3. Not gonna win games doing that.
You can't hide a player who never earned three of those fouls. They'll find a wayBrad should periodically mix it up and play a zone defense when the situation merits it. Especially when you play teams like Michigan State and USC that are poor at shooting the 3. You can also hide a player better (like today with Kasparis) who gets in foul trouble.
