The game stats show that we shot poorly and got badly out rebounded. Not going to win many games when that happens.

Alot to look over with this one...

Yes Keaton was bad...you dont hit 3's thats one thing, but it was the first game in which I thought he forced it too much. They were helping but not fully blitzing...but when he drive they would fully commit 2 guys on him. Honestly, it was a great defensive gameplan

Hes going to need to learn from this and figure out how to adjust. I think it was just Keaton's off night.

Our lack of athleticism hurt. Not having Boswell to hound Fears really hurt.

I despise Fears...I understand he is good, he is smart offensively and he killed us around screens and us not being smart and fouling.

But he is a dirty f*cking player...plain and simple. If someone "accidently" got him with a solid elbow in the jaw...wouldn't mind it.

I don't get upset at losing in the regular season for basketball, but that was as rigged as I've seen in a while. Props to MSU for fighting hard, getting the rebound, and hitting the 3, but any neutral fan can see it wasn't a fair called game. Especially late game.

Izzo needs to stop making whining sour puckerface at the refs everytime camera is on him and actually be the caliber of his reputation.
Feel like this game with this particular set of dumbass circumstances could only happen in East Lansing and nowhere else

Poor rebounding effort tonight kept coming back biting us in the butt all game. Pretty much a big reason why we lost. I don't think Spartans' offense is all that. They depend a lot on 2nd chance boards to get out into transition buckets. And guess what? We did an absolute stinker of a job tonight stopping that losing the battle on the glass. Gave up way too many transition buckets to Michigan State as a result. Not getting that rebound when we were up in the game 69-68 as the game clock was ticking down to 11 seconds was the story of the night for our team's rebounding effort. Oh and the two missed wide open threes from Jake that led to more transition buckets from Michigan State were brutal too. Disappointing lost, but going 2-1 on the road at Purdue, Nebraska and Michigan State without Kylan is huge. We really need Kylan back though.

This game went exactly how I envisioned it. Comes down to the little things.
Have to rebound! Why was Tomi off the court at the end of regulation. Ben trying to box out Kohler on the 1st missed 3 was the game. We get that rebound they have to foul and we win. We don't, Kohler kicks it out and 2nd three is good.
Im really disappointed in the twins effort down low. Not only defensively but on the boards.
This was the most clear and obvious game we could've used Kylan and Ty. Needed toughness, strength, and athleticism.

Get ready boys. Even the janitors outran you down the court tonight.

I know you're not happy, but our players gave to wear this one. We have to be tougher. These were the exact games we were losing last year. Can't put up a 10 of 36 from three and let up almost 50 rebounds. Wagler, let's leave him alone. No sense in piling on. Hopefully, we get Kylan back soon and take some of the weight off his shoulders.

I’ll say it.

I will not upset if Fears is taken out in a future game.

Dirtiest player I’ve seen in college basketball since Jacob Jaacks.

We needed one more body. Can't wait to get KB back. We looked gassed a couple times throughout the game. Can't let them run like that next time we see them. Transition is their only game. Way too many fast break and second chance tonight.

Fears is a good basketball player but man I absolutely despise the way he plays and hate the refs for calling that stuff.

Tripped Mirkovic, flopped on the final play of regulation when he set a screen on Zvonimir(isn't flopping a technical foul still?). Then in OT got a super late whistle on a play where Tomi didn't even touch him, hooked Mirkovic on defense and no call(no replay shown), threw himself to the ground on a play where nobody touched him and got a free and one. Then honestly even late in the game where he got Wagler to jump and the refs always call it, there was a ton of space between them and he flopped on that(Sidenote: I really wish refs would stop giving guys call when then they jump into a defender in the air unless the defender is coming down on top of them.

It’s funny how Michigan st can keep moving on screens when fears has the ball and nothing ever called

Illinois was happy to let one guy beat them tonight. Never tried to get the ball out of his hand and played the same drop coverage bs they played past year and would get picked apart by. Never jumped a screen or trapped to get the ball out of his hand. That team had one player and we allowed them to dictate all night.
