You can't usually get 2 red shirt years can you? I've heard about it before but very rarely and usually it's offensive lineman (Asamoah I think?)

Was that who I was thinking of? Asamoah was who came to mind first.
If it was a guy just a couple years ago then yeah it Corey Lewis. He had a knee injury 2 years in a row as well I believe...maybe even ACLs. Not sure...

If that is the case, would it be possible that he comes back for the last 3 or 4 games? It should be around the same timeline as last year right?

At this point, I can't help but expect the worst when it comes to Illini sports. I was in school from 2000-2004 and living in Champaign through 2005. During that time there were ups and downs, but in general I got used to fielding a top 10 basketball team and on-and-off top 25 football team. I never anticipated anything like the last 6-7 years. All the best to Mikey during this new recovery. Hopefully he can stay healthy going forward and return to form. I just pray that this is the last big setback for awhile.
