That's what I came here to say. Sprinters don't slide across the finish line. You don’t slide at home on a force out, you run full bore like a play at first. That slide may cost them the Series.
And Dodgers did it in the 10th, tooThat's what I came here to say. Sprinters don't slide across the finish line.
Agreed slides slow you down and that was a force playYou don’t slide at home on a force out, you run full bore like a play at first. That slide may cost them the Series.
And as I recall he was inserted as a pinch runner. You had one job...Agreed slides slow you down and that was a force play
They really did, but as I was telling someone else, the Blue Jays had several chances to go lights-out on the Dodgers. They could have finished them in Game 6. Even more so in Game 7 when they led in the game's final stretch and, worse, when they had the bases loaded and couldn't get a single. One base hit from running away with it all. I was pulling for them, but championship teams find a way to win. At least their ride home was short...Great World Series. I swear the Dodgers had some devil magic on their side especially in game 6 and game 7.
