Reporting in The Athletic today that the Bulls aren't going to make any moves at the deadline.

To paraphrase Lincoln, if Arturas Karnisovas does not want to use his basketball franchise, I would like to borrow it for a time.

try to imagine a world where Michael Jordan was selected by Portland & we then got Bowie .

We would still have no championships and we would still be in this all time loser club with 3-4 other teams

An interesting and terrifying thought.

But also, you have to remember that Jordan was a great singular player (all by himself alone) on his earliest Bulls teams and they were not winning anything. It was Phil Jackson who had the street and ball cred to get Jordan to seriously look at his approach to the game and allow a more team-balanced game for him to emerge which allowed the Bulls to become a Superteam. Plus the needed additions of Pippen, Grant, and others later.

The Owner of the Bulls got really lucky twice in his life. When Jordan fell into the Bulls draft lap... and the 2005 White Sox when they had a one-year-only great group of players and everything that season just fell into place for them.

To further your thought... imagine a World where the Bulls and the Sox had really good ownership all these years that knew what they were doing.

Bulls have done little to nothing for 25 years now. And except for that one year... Sox have done little in the last over 50 years back to when the Sox were really good in the late '50s up to 1967.

Seeing Abrams hit me in the gut a little. Talk about a guy who went through it as an Illini. Glad he seems to be doing well.

Also, does anyone know where I can get one of those orange and blue Bulls snapbacks 👀
I would like hat also. Dope city.

Crazy that MJ never had a 50/40/90 month
Awesome for Ayo!

Not real surprised Jordan never hit it. He was a bulk shooter and shot well from the field and FT line, but he was never a bulk shooter from 3 PT range. More of that might have to do with getting by the defender and making easier jump shots and baskets closer to the hoop. Even borderline starters/guys coming off the bench now attempt as many as Jordan on average did during those days. Game has changed/evolved(however want to word it)

So much for any ideas they may have had about trading him:

There were reportedly trade talks between the Bulls and Pistons at one point with recent ones that had centered around Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Harris coming back to Chicago as part of the deal.

Seems as if there is anyone on the roster that gets traded before next week's trade deadline, it will be Caruso.

Drummond is a possibility.

Don't know but miss his dad. RIP He was a great poster on here.
I concur. Rob Jordan was a great read, and kept things real, never stepped over the line. I always enjoyed his posts. For some who may not be aware here is a YT video on AJ's commitment with an appearance by Rob and the Jordan family.

I hope that wherever AJ is these days, life is good!
