Bronny managed an 0’fer shooting with a rebound. He had a plus minus of -5. Only player with a worse one was his father — likely in large part because he had to play with his son.
I'm here for all the Bronny shade, trust me, but just for added context, Bronny only played 3 minutes and the Lakers won.

have ayo and THT worked out their personal issues over the years?

Not sure where else to put this, but as #1 resident Zach Edey hater, it's very gratifying to see him get absolutely exposed for the fraud he is. 15 mins and fouled out? LMAO!

That was his best game yet, but doing fairly well in exhibitions thus far — improving stats each game. Overall in 4 games he’s 13.5 ppg and 7.3 rpg in 20.3 mpg. But in his last 2 those numbers go up to 19.0 ppg and 8.5 rpg in 20.5 mpg. His plus/minus is only +4 but that’s because of a -15 in a game they lost by 25. Interestingly, he has only 5 blocks thus far — the same number as he has assists.

I was no fan of Edey’s when he was at Purdue, but for at least the time being I’m pulling for him. Always fun to see know-it-all haters who like to poop on people’s dreams be wrong.

Update?

Also absolute LOL at using preseason to argue that Edey can play at the NBA level, he absolutely will get exposed. Remember this isn't a 19 year old project coming into the league, this is supposed to be a polished product and he literally fouled out in 15 minutes of game time.

Some might argue that using a player’s first NBA game to argue he will be a bust is absolute LOL too. That also might describe your reading comprehension skills as no where in my post did I say he can “play at the NBA level,”. All I did was list his stats and say I was pulling for him, in large part because of NBA “experts” like you.

I get not harboring grudges against opponents once they're no longer opponents. I can find myself pulling for a guy like Garza. But I just can't see myself pulling for Edey, particularly when he was always pulling stuff like the play that gave Kofi a concussion, and not getting called on it.

It remains ridiculous the degree to which refs gave Edey the inverse treatment that they gave Kofi.

Lmao, at least an actual NBA game is a better metric than using preseason stats.

Edey is literally the first player in since the merger to start their first game and foul out in less than 15 minutes :ROFLMAO:

I get that and believe me I was no fan of Edey’s when he was at Purdue. I got just as mad as anyone when he wouldn’t be called for fouls. But I was pissed at the refs not at him particularly. It may have happened, but I don’t remember Edey being malicious with his fouls unlike the kid from MSU. Even the foul in the video you posted didn’t seem malicious. He just turned and shot. It was absolutely a foul and should have been called, but I didn’t see any intent.

It isn’t like I’m a huge fan of his now really. I’m pulling for him a little bit because he’s from the BIG, but primarily because some people on Twitter and here are convinced he’ll suck in the NBA — and very vocal about it. That they relish in his trials and tribulations makes me want to see him have some success.

Are you laughing at your reading comprehension skills again? Where did I use preseason stats as a metric to indicate he would succeed in the NBA? I know given the type of player he is and how the NBA plays now, the deck is stacked against him. I don’t think he’ll be star, but certainly not out of the question that he carves out a career in NBA.

Might be worth noting that in addition to 6 fouls, he had 5 points and 5 rebounds, including 4 offensive rebounds. To add some context, Clingan was drafted before him, didn’t start (on possibly a worse team) and had 2 points, 2 rebounds and a block in 13 minutes.

You aren't an NBA player if you can't guard NBA players and Zach Edey can't guard NBA players.

Zach Edey is 50,000 times better at basketball in some objective sense than someone like Patrick Williams. But Patrick Williams can guard so he can be on the floor without blowing a hole in the team. Edey can't.

Well technically I think one is an NBA player if you sign a contract and play in a game, but I get your point. Odds are certainly not in his favor.

Funny you bring up Williams because a friend and I were discussing him last night. I’ve never understood why Arturas has basically put the will not trade tag on him. Good news is he was drafted so young, so I think he’s only 23. Not sure how much longer you can use the age excuse though given he has received a fair amount of playing time. Might be on the cusp of “he is what he is.”

Yup, he'll be an absolute star for the Shanghai Sharks by year 3 though!

Buzelis isn't going to play enough to win sadly. Very raw at this point.
Not trying to win...I actually think some of the younger developing players get more tick than usual...Phillips along with Buzelis...might as well develop while slow playing the season...they are trying to keep the protected pick they owe...San Antonio I think...

Nice improvement by Edey against the Rockets with 13 points, nine rebounds and only 4 fouls.

Tough getting minutes for the Wolves for TSJ (and even Dillingham) so far. Pretty odd that they are basically only playing like 8 guys with Ingles getting token minutes. I get they need wins, but with a guy like Conley I'd think they would want to go a little deeper.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that has to do with the KAT/Randle trade being only just about 3 weeks ago. Might be more concerned about working on cohesion of main rotation players with that big of a change plus Donte DiVincenzo.
