Well after our 2021 #1 seed flop and this year Bama #1 seed flop I feel for you! Texas is my adopted team, so it's been mostly rough going rooting for Illinois and Texas football the last 15 years.
I don't know if I consider Bama losing to SDSU a flop in the sweet sixteen because I believe SDSU is an incredibly tough team. Grown men that play some of the best defense you will ever see on a college basketball floor. But, as a Bama fan, I thought this was the best team I have seen in my years and the best shot at a Final Four. Incredibly disappointing end.

No way. That UNC Duke game was damn near epic. FAU SDSU who the hell cares. I don't.
Just as well get used to it. NIL and the portal have created parity. No longer does Duke/UNC/Kentucky....have a 6th man that's better than the opposing teams starters. They want to play, they transfer and that 6th man is now a starter on that other team. Add freshman, that will be sophomores) to that same mix. The teams that you can find with a preponderance of Juniors and Seniors that have been around for a while will trump the teams with one and dones. This entire tournament has been parity on full display.

It's a really interesting dynamic, to be honest. On the one hand, the blue bloods likely have some of the largest NIL purses to throw around, but on the other, top players want to play so they can be showcased for the NBA scouts. It's a delayed gratification experiment playing out in real time with a bunch of 18/19 year olds.

So C-USA won CBI, will win NIT and a chance to win the NCAA tournament

So far C USA is 17-1 in postseason

Maybe we are in the wrong conference :)
They play their conference tournament in Frisco. Sounds like you and I need to get some tickets to this next season 🙂

Yeah I thought that NIL would actually become a huge separator for schools with large Alumni bases with lots of money and the opposite. The experiment is early, but the results so far have been interesting.

If you are dreading the boredom of watching the worst final four ever, try this

Tune into the Iowa WOMEN‘s (2 seed) game vs 1 seed South Carolina at 9:00, Friday, March 31.

At worst, you get to see the obvious Women’s National Player of the Year, Caitlin Clark, who could probably start on any number of men’s teams.

She got serious game

I love watching Clark play. LOVE it. She could beat many male college players in a game of horse.

She doesn’t come anywhere near starting on a D1 men’s college team

Probably should change "many" to "most"
