Assuming you meant 40 seconds. I am open to counter points of view.

My point is that this team is currently struggling mightily with winning close games. How are we in overtime games this year? And candidly we were lucky to make it to OT in a bunch of those games. Sorry, not going to count them, but you can if you wish.

You cannot fix a problem that you : 1) don't acknowledge & 2) don't attempt to implement a solution. Sorry, that fact is not debatable fellas.

My bigger issue that Underwood was super reluctant to accept the problem (childish rant against that question 2 games ago) and has yet to discuss what he is doing differently to affect a positive change to get a better outcome.

Thankfully Bam took matters into his own hands and called a player only meeting, at least he is doing something about it.

Look, I want my my Alma Mater to win as much as anyone. I just can't stand lack of accountability, especially when those that should be accountable are being paid a kings ransom to be accountable.

But maybe accountability is a value of the past in this day and age. Everybody just gets the biggest "bag" they can and that's good enough.

Maybe he should talk to Bret to see what he has done to put the football team in the position to win close games, because they have done that.

Now we just gotta work on Bret keeping it within 50.

I think it's fair to point out our bad record in OT games this season. Who knows, maybe there is something there w/r/t conditioning or something.

But the idea that we haven't won close games in regulation because we define close games as 3 or less points just filters out close games where we closed out the game well. So basically you're upset that we did a good thing.

This narrative also makes it seem like winning close games is a good thing. In fact, it's not as good as winning comfortably, and losing a close game is better than getting blown out (at least from the perspective of projecting out future results). To put it simply, the fact that our losses have been close and means we were not that far off from winning them, and some improvements around the margins can be enough to win those games, rather than some major overhaul. Maybe that improvement happens, maybe it doesn't, but I'd still rather be in that position than in the position where we are getting blown out (like Iowa St has done a couple times).

Why just look at final scores? Really don’t understand that logic.

Purdue was a 2pt game with 20sec left:

My takeaway here is we need Keaton to be "that guy" late, and we need everyone on the same page about that to the point where he has the confidence to be the stud we know he is!

If you're basing the brackets by KenPom rankings, the South is by far the hardest. Worst 1-seed, but the highest ranked 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9 seeds are all in there.
All of those are actually good things for us besides the top 2

A good 7 seed that could take down a 2 before we play

A good 4,5,9 to take down the 1 on the other end of the bracket

Sigh… I literally meant 40 minutes. I was being dumb because people were being dumb about the one-possession losses… and asking why not include all of these extra games… even though people look at one possession games all of the time.

I don’t mind Nebraska and OSU at all. Hope they win a couple games.
I think for me it starts and ends at Nebraska and OSU this year. The underdog stories are fun and I haven't watched them enough to see any ugly sides. Purdue, UCLA, and Iowa are three where I could see myself coming around if they're in an upset situation.

Michigan, MSU, and Wisconsin (in that order) all have players I will be rooting against haha

Bilas has us in the FF, but then losing to MSU. So, making the FF would be incredible, but losing to Izzo and Fears--Dick Dastardly and Muttley--would cost me a television.
yea. while I would take this , losing to MSU again would break my heart

ESPN's college hoops expert Jay Bilas released his official Final Four picks:
  • No. 3 Michigan State
  • No. 3 Illinois
  • No. 1 Arizona
  • No. 2 Iowa State

I get that. To be fair, I could see myself rooting HARD against MSU. Fears drives me crazy. Boyd from Wisconsin is obnoxious, but the kind of obnoxious you think to yourself “wish we had that kind of obnoxious on our team”. He’s not dirty. Fears is dirty and should have been suspended multiple times this season.

I hated the outcome of that last Wisconsin game, but you can’t deny the atmosphere was electric in large part due to Boyd’s antics riling up the crowd.
