I was also at Indy in ‘05. Watching a basketball game in a football arena was “fine”, but very suboptimal. That was a special year to be part of the fan base tho, and agree that downtown Indy around the sports venues is a great experience.
If I could play NCAA basketball emperor for a day, I'd always play games before the Final Four in traditional arenas - no domes. I'd much rather have a smaller crowd and a great atmosphere than risk thousands of empty seats in a dome.

I know that is generally the case in today's day and age, but I'd make that 100% official. For example, I think TD Garden in Boston is going to be an UNREAL environment if UConn is there. Boston is a great sports town anyway, but there's something about a big basketball event in Boston in the Garden's arena lineage. I even hope the NCAA has a parquet floor in the NCAA branding like they did a few years ago - I thought that was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in the NCAA tournament.

If you have a Facebook account I highly recommend joining the "March Madness in Las Vegas" group. Tons of info, reviews, details on numerous watch parties, etc. If you haven't locked something in already you're going to find what's left (at least in terms of a guaranteed seat) really expensive. Very few places with a great (even good) set up are you going to be able to walk in and grab a seat the first weekend.
For the past two years we've gone to the free upstairs viewing at Circa. Lot's of seating, great video/sound. Everything you need is up there.

I think it’s the fact that UConn has been locked into the Boston regional for months now. The committee got lucky this year with the top 3 seeds not fighting for any of the same regional locations. I would wait it out and hope they lose and everyone sells. There’s also people just trying to make money on the resale market so your idea of waiting til day before, if not even the day of makes the most sense.

Ticket resale markets are a mess right now. Prices for session 1 on Thursday in the lower bowl are horrendous and then people wonder why there are so many empty seats.

Has anyone ever caught a game at Joe's On Weed St. or Brickhouse Tavern in Chicago?

What are the vibes like? I see that they are only accepting walk-ins for the Duquesne game, how early would my group have to come to get a table?

Thanks!

Has anyone here been streaming the games on Max? If so, does it for sure get all the networks carrying the games and is the stream good? TIA

I figured that would happen a little but Thursday nosebleed seats were literally $8 and now I’m seeing nothing below $200

Thursday evening session tickets were well over $100 as well I think. Add the extra excitement of a sweet 16 berth on the line and a weekend game and there you go. It's nuts but would have been even higher if Drake had beaten WSU.

The stream quality is good. I could not find Northwestern’s game so they might not have the CBS games. I had to use the March Madness app.

They also have a 10 minute highlight of the Illinois game plus a 2 minute video of all of Domask points and assists.

We watched the Big Ten Champ game at Joe's on Weed. We walked right in and they had open tables in the large back room with at least 10 projection TV's. Decorated Orange and Blue for the game. I would expect a larger crowd for tonights game. I'd get there early. ILL

Tickets are much higher today.

Paid the same for both todays upper bowl seats at midcourt vs the ones I got for Thursdays game that were also midcourt and 11 rows from the floor.

Worth every penny!!

Does anyone in London, UK, know where to watch the game? I know it will be like 12:30 AM, but still thought it was worth and ask.
