They are the best free throw shooting team in the history of the NCAA. They have veteran players, defend well, knock down threes, and have a great coach. (They beat Tennessee by 18 early in the season) They don't have any losses to teams outside the NCAA field.

All that said, they are pretty under sized, and don't have any great wins (other than the aforementioned win at Tennessee) against teams outside the Big East. I don't think that is a very good league this year, so I have a hard time judging them. Pundits slobber all over Gillespie, and Jay Wright.

Maybe their shooting and coaching can carry them, but there are some really good big men in this bracket that could cause them significant problems. I don't see it either...

Lot's of opinions and good thoughts on the match ups throughout the tourney ......But , very little has been posted about the different styles of officiating going on .......

Last night gave us an indication of what to expect ............I believe d j bald head ref did the wright state game and i saw many players with bewildered looks on their faces at the calls made........so , I firmly believe some of the predictions will hinge on who the refs are ......wonder if anyone knows what refs will be at what regionals......

The Rutgers game , I believe , had Courtney Green from the B1G and it had a much better flow to it ............

I have been very critical of the B1G refs and they deserved it big time ......

I hope the players determine the outcomes and not refs like d j bald head ref or lil Bo-peepee..........JMHO

I’ve seen either Courtney Green, DJ Bald Head or Larry Scirotto in all 3 games with big ten teams. It’s like they follow us around to torment us

I believe Ref is a big component in the tourney since many teams could run into officiating styles they are not familiar with. I wonder if that has anything to do with the downfall of B1G last year. (I wouldn't blame the Loyola loss on the refs though.)
