To hell with Folgers, the best part of waking up is Bohannon's tears in my cup:

He split once he learned those menu boards aren’t actual TVs.Reggie is commentating? I thought he would be living at Wendy's again for the tournament.
Big 12 undefeated with 6 teams also. Pretty impressive for a 10 team conference.I am sure espn has the lead story that b1g has 6 teams advancing. Only time I watch the channel is illinois games.
Oh sure, go and give me hope.
You may be right about old style centers, particularly the way post defense is being officiated during this tournament. However, I will take Kofi's time in the illinois line up as opposed to the several years preceding his appearance in Champaign. Not sure this is right place but did some comparisons:
Sweet sixteen
ACC 3 teams
B12. 3 teams
Big East 2 teams
BIG. 2 teams
PAC 10 1 team
SEC. 1 team
Is BIG the best conference or does our style of play not work in the tournament? We seem to be the conference of old style centers vs the Pro type version. Do we need to make a style change to reach the top?
Looking for expert opinions and I know this is the place.
I think the BIG was weaker this year than we were willing to admit. Advanced metrics have been clear on this for a while. You also see it in the seeding. No team higher than a 3 seed. Based seeding the conference has really only slightly disappointed. If just 3 teams from the conference were seeded in the top 16 teams in the tourney (and all in the bottom half of that 16), and one of those (us) just barely, and only 2 make it to the actual last 16, that's not hugely surprising. Not sure this is right place but did some comparisons:

Big Ten didn't really do much worse than the selection committee expected to be honest. They seeded 3 of our teams in the top 16, and 2 of our teams advanced to the last 16. Off by one. No Big Ten teams were seeded in the top 8. So if either of the Big Ten teams advances to the Elite Eight, you could argue the conference actually exceeded expectations. It is possible we had a lot of teams worthy of being in the lower half or lower 3/4 of the bracket, which is exactly how the selection committee seeded us. And our last three teams in (Indiana, Rutgers, Michigan) have gone a combined 3-2, which isn't terrible for a group of 11 and 12 seeds.I waited until the last teams to play last night to comment. Here it is. BIG was pathetic. Plain and simple. We will not have 9 bids next year. Good luck to Michigan and Purdue. With that being said, it is unbelievable how some teams seize the moment.
As I have previously stated, the Illini lacked the bigger wings that Underwood wanted this year. We see why this makes a difference in the tourney. Although I do not like Michigan, they are built for the tourney. Their guards and wings penetrate to the rack with regularity and initiate contact. It works. Michigan States guards were unbelievable in their game with Duke. Hopefully next year will be the beginning of a more polished style of attacking the basket. I like what I saw with R.J. That's a beginning and most times along with good defense can keep you in games when the pumpkin is not falling.

Yep. Arizona and UCLA.PAC10 has 2 teams in the sweet sixteen if I'm not mistaken.
I've been pretty disappointed with the officiating so far. I've seen multiple games greatly impacted by the refs. I think Arizona could have easily been called for a foul and put TCU on the line with 2 seconds left for the win. I think Groce's Akron team had multiple bad calls that allowed UCLA to get past their first round.Yep. Arizona and UCLA.
If that had been the Illini guarding that TCU guard out at halfcourt and bumping him like AZ did , i can guarantee we would of had a foul called on us ....no doubt in my mind at all......I've been pretty disappointed with the officiating so far. But it was far too common this weekend to watch any game and say what was that call just to turn around a couple minutes later and say how could you not call that?
I just sat there in stunned silence at the no callIf that had been the Illini guarding that TCU guard out at halfcourt and bumping him like AZ did , i can guarantee we would of had a foul called on us ....no doubt in my mind at all......
JMHO
Imagine if Terry didn't dunk it and layed it in for the win. What an awful no call. The the jump ball that Mathurin stripped away after a couple seconds, traveled, and was fouled for an and 1 in OT. The stripes stripped that game from TCU.I just sat there in stunned silence at the no call
