And the guys making the TOs act like they just don't care that the F'd up. They do not value every possession. They take plays off. Then they repeat the same stupid unforced TOs time and time again in the same game. It is not AAU ball. The season doesn't start in March. I just don't get it
The difference between TSJ and KJ is stark. When TSJ committed a turnover he was going to die trying to get that ball back. KJ, not so much. And then he goes and does the same exact thing again the next time down the court. The nonchalance is killing me.

Maybe I just don’t know what NIL deals are really like, but it seems extremely wild to me for a coach like BU to make pt promises to a DIII guy who is also getting paid a ton of money and letting that affect winning. Mad world.
Or is it trying to show his talent evaluation to the donors hoping the player can play better?

Here’s my opinion … Who gives a 💩

What’s Ben gonna do ? Sue ??? Too late for a “mental health” redshirt like some of these kids did …

He ain’t a connected guy to any AAU team … His little brother ain’t a 5 star … I could give 2 💩 if we tick off his “circle” …

🍑 meet bench … It’s time to win and win now …

The best 5 play … Period …

Man do I miss the Trent and DMFW days …
And he’s a graduate student! He does not exist next year anywhere. So DGL and MJ and even JD get his minutes!

Not gonna pile on because some will, but that was pathetic. Had zero. buisness losing that game. Terrible effort, Brad had awful in game coaching, and just horrible shots. Hummer will be upgraded over this offseason unless something drastically changes with his game

I'm telling you right f#cking now......if Ben Humrichous is playing significant minutes for this team next year, I'm not watching.

Dead serious. This is absurd.

You guys are wild 😂 The Postgame thread shouldn’t open for 24 hours after a loss.

Get Tomi back, we’ll be fine. B10 title is gone but we can still beat anybody in the country and get hot in March
You know in a horror movie where the one character has witnessed like five inexplicably horrifying things but he’s clinging to this desperate notion that it was just the wind and this nightmare situation will all be explained eventually in a rational way that jives with the worldview he held previously?

The signs are slapping you in the face. Our issues are deeper than Tomislav being out, and you need to try not to notice them to think we’re fine.

That first 3 he took in OT was wide open, nobody even close to him. He's got to take that. I agree he shouldn't have been in the game at that point, but since he was, he has to take the wide open 3.
Not true. The first shot in OT was the typical "trying to be Domask iso backdown".

Nebraska snapped their 6 games losing streak to us. Maryland snapped their winless Big Ten road play against us. This was another game where we had the final possession to win the game and ended in a dud. We came out with no gear crank up to ten following a game where we had energy. I see a trend here.

I echo your sentiments, but if you wanna bet, I'll happily wager $100 you'll be watching.... and you probably won't take me up on the bet because you know you'll be watching too! lol.... the painful reality of fandom.

Brad Underwood: "I have to do something about the starting lineup. We don't know when we're getting (Ivisic) back".

Thank you, Captain Obvious!! Bench Hummer and Boswell for DGL and Will. Bam still plays a lot but there needs to be punishment for TO’s…for him and KJ. Use the bench to get their attention. Too lax.

I think it’s important to put this team into perspective compared to last year:

Last Year: 16-5 Overall / 7-3 Big 10 / 3-4 Q1 Games

This Year: 14-7 Overall / 6-5 Big 10 / 4-6 Q1 Games

We’re not THAT far off from last year. Yes the vibes were definitely better, but this team has so much more up and down. Hopefully we can go on a little run and get good vibes for March 🤞

I still think the worst game I have in memory was in the Weber era. We lost to Penn State at Assembly Hall 38-33 (circa 2009 I believe). And no, that was not a halftime score. You could have built a highrise with all the bricks thrown in that game. They were playing off Chester Frazier about 10 ft begging him to take a 3. No, that was not a dynamic offense.
Yea, I remember it. I was there to witness it. That truly set the game of basketball back to 1925. But hey, at least they played great defense:/
My soph year, after Dee Brown and Augustine left, they finished below .500 and we were relying on Shaun Pruitt. That was a rough team to watch

I genuinely wanna know, because I'm a better shooter at 46 (gistanteed) than he is and wonder if I need to look for new sneakers.

You’re so right. Could you imagine that effort playing for Bobby Knight or even Coach K. Would’ve gotten benched and screamed at. KJ just doesn’t seem to care. There’s good and bad to that but tonight he had 6 TO’s….almost as many as Nebraska.

Ehhhhhh court play alone, I don't want his hogging. Or his defense. I also don't think he'd be even a decent rebounder on this team.
The offense has been a lot of “hogging” in previous years too.

It just feels different if it’s TSJ or Ayo or early season KJ doing it.

And it looks different if there is a second option when the go to guy isn’t on. Like Kofi or Marcus

Remember the higher-than-a-kite posts here last July-September about going 10 deep with this roster?

I don't like calling out players by name (unlike my feelings about coaches), so I will keep it at this: our portal evaluations were very poor this past year. The talent on the roster is so heavily weighted towards non-portal guys (KJ, Tomi, Will, Morez, DGL).

It's something that needs to be looked at really hard.

Why is that the case though? The NIL money is a sunk cost, so why not just put the best players on the floor? Do coaches have to go out of their way to try to justify the money spent so donors don't feel like they wasted their money? If so, that isn't going to work.
This is what I fear is happening. At some point you have to say I was wrong and play the players who give you best opportunity to win. Winning cures a few recruiting and donor misses
