Current 2024 NFL Draft Order with 4 weeks to play, per Tankathon. There are currently 12 teams within a game of each other (includes GB and TB who are currently playoff teams).

If the rest of the NFL season plays out like the ESPN model predicts, the Bears will be in perfect position to draft Newton at #10... They did just take two DTs last year in Dexter and Pickens on Day 2. The DE position may be a bit more of a need, so Latu or Dallas Turner may be more attractive at 10, but it's hard to ignore the Aaron Donald comps (who I was hoping the Bears would draft a few years ago).

Living in socal I'd be ecstatic about this. The Chargers really need defensive help too.

As much as I like Newton, Bears likely go WR or interior O-line with their 2nd pick in the 1st round.

That better be one heck of an IOL to spend the #5 on it. Suppose it could be an OT and kick the worst of the 3OT in to Guard. Though I'm a big believer that with that high of pick you have to spend it on premier positions that most impact the game (in order QB, EDGE, CB, LT).

He needs to catch those kicks first *ducks*
I know nothing, but the drops will really hurt him in the draft process I think. Doesn’t mean he wont get drafted, but Chase Brown’s fumbles were very rare and it was talked about as being a problem for his draft position. Not much tolerance for that at the next level. He’s got the talent to make it at the next level tho so get on a team and he can make his impact felt. Wish him the best.

Is there a deadline/date to pull your name out? I don’t recall that happening like basketball does with so many, but I assume it’s a similar scenario?

I don’t find anything that says a player can withdraw. Last year there was apparently a 72 hour window to change your mind, but I don’t see anything about that for this year.
