Even though they are 5-2 I think the Bears season is at a tipping point. Robinson is in the concussion protocol and the SCORE is saying that Whitehair is out for Sunday. A win against the Saints is huge and a loss could be pretty bad. After that they are at Tennessee, home against the Vikings on a Monday night, a bye, and then at Green Bay. Unless things improve in a hurry I don't see them as very competitive against the Titans or Packers.

Bears up 13-10 at half. In spite of how final Saints drive ended, Bears defense has looked good in the 1st half. Bears offense has been able to move down the field in the limited possessions they have had due to both teams having lengthy drives.

While the offense is still god awful and Nagy deserves A LOT of criticism for that, it is still is impressive that the team doesn't give up. This team's record wouldn't be anywhere near as good with a lesser coach.

I think the turning point of the game was Nagy taking the timeout near the end of the 2nd half when the defense was putting a stop to the NO drive. I think there was about 40-50 seconds left and at 2nd or 3rd and long NO looked content to just let the clock run. The timeout let them convert and scored a TD.

Nagy had a couple of bone-headed timeout calls, including the one at the end of overtime. Had Lutz missed we would have had 1:45 and a timeout to be able to march down the field and possibly win the game.

I was shocked that Payton kicked on second down and didn't burn some more clock by running a couple of quarterback dives into the line. That would have forced the Bears to use their timeout and also run another 45 seconds or so off the clock. I agree it was a bonehead move by Nagy, if he had missed the kick that timeout would have come in handy.

I didn’t have an issue with the timeout before halftime. The offense was moving the ball consistently for once and Nagy figured his defense could get the Saints off the field on 3rd and 13 and the 4th down after to get the ball back one more time before half. The problem was the Bears got gashed for 12 yards on that 3rd down and that made it an easier 4th down conversion for the Saints. The refs changing the penalty on Fuller from illegal contact to PI was a killer on that drive was a killer too. Jared Cook had way too much of a free release on that TD. Just awful, awful coverage.

The final timeout is what kills me. I guess that’s Nagy’s idea of icing the kicker. I’m really surprised Payton didn’t let Brees take a knee to bleed the clock further after that.

Jason Spriggs tests positive for COVID. Germain Ifedi was determined to be a high risk close contact.

Do the Bears have any olinemen left on the roster?

Another positive test for the Bears. They’ve shut down their practice facility.

I’d say there’s a pretty strong chance that there’s no game on Sunday.
