I was so surprised by the Texans Chiefs game I had to check to see if it was live or a replay. Was more entertaining than the playoff games, even with the refs bailing out the Chiefs every chance they got.

Looks like the Philadelphia Sydney Browns will come back and win today's Illini Bowl against the Washington Quan/Newtons.

Edit: Not So Fast, My Friend: Washington held them to a FG and came back with a quick TD.

Peckers vs New Orleans. Saints go for it on 4th down and fail to convert. GB commits a personal foul. Ref announces, "After the play the ball had already turned over on downs GB commits personal foul 15 yards." Green Bay starts with first and ten. IMHO the NFL is not enforcing that right. Play is over, GB's ball. GB commits 15 yard penalty, it should be first and 25. If they want the personal fouls cut out, make them hurt.

Yet, the Bengal’s D stepped up and then so did their offense, winning with a TD in OT! Looks like an ankle injury for Chase. He was walking on it, but limping so hopefully, not too bad…

I just tuned into the WSH-ATL game. As per NBC usual, the starters are shown individually while stating their name and former school. Why do neither Johnnie Newton nor Quan Martin recognize/mention Illinois? Disappointing, to say the least...

Just watching the defensive intros for the Washington Atlanta game. Both Quan Martin and Johnny Newton chose not to mention Illinois when everyone else stated their college during the intro. Any idea what that’s about?
I just posted the same question in another thread. It's disappointing.
The type of things people on this board will get upset about is laughable sometimes.

Also, Nick Allegretti did mention Illinois during his intro.

If we as Illini fans are hoping that star recruits/transfers are looking to come to play at Illinois as a place that will help them get to the NFL, it is important that these guys at least mention they are from the University of Illinois (with their high school if they want). I would hope that they were proud of being Illini and would want to give their school some credit. I’m guessing Coach Bielema is disappointed from that respect as well…

If you really think any star recruit or transfer is going to care about what school an NFL player mentions during their Sunday Night Football intro, you're more deluded than I thought. Bielema probably doesn't know much less care whether the players mention it.

Heck, by your logic my alma mater EIU should have gotten more highly rated recruits for all the times I got to hear "Jimmy Garoppolo, Eastern Illinois University".
