Bo Nix had 9 passes of 10+ air yards. Only one of them was a completion (Pat Bryant).

It’s staggering how much worse the offense is despite:

1) adding Jaylen Waddle
2) getting Dobbins back
3) returning everybody from an OLine everyone had #1

As a border conclusion, this should serve as a lesson to all Illini fans.

In the rare instance you get a favorable call (like Denver did against the Rams), NEVER apologize for it because it might be you getting screwed the very next game.

Dan Campbell went full moron late in that game yesterday & got away with it. I understand risk but I'll never understand a coach going for it on 4th & 1 inside his own 30 in last 5 minutes of a tie game. Just pure insanity.

Next Gen stats had it as a toss up decision. If you punt, there’s a chance that you never get the ball back. If you go for it, even if they score, you likely finish the game with the ball in your hands.

They got away with it cause the Green Bay kicker sucked but if I'm weighing options I'd much rather punt & then make green bay drive 50/60 yards to get into field goal range. I realize there is a risk they drain the clock doing that. But at least you've made them do something. The call he made left Green Bay in a spot where a competent kicker would have given them the lead after 3 plays & 2 yards gained. Essentially nothing.

I'd always rather make the other guy do something to beat me. And if he does go shake his hand when it ends than just giving it away. Sometimes the crazy risk works out but the more you make the other team do the harder it is going to be for them to do it.
