Bruce will be reinstated as coach and a whole host of 5 stars from the mid 2000s will retroactively commit.

Here's a novel idea: how about the NBA sets up a minor league system just like MLB and then if players don't want to go to school they don't have to. Would not at all support any kind of system that allows a kid to play for a university but not even take classes at the university as was suggested in an earlier post. This would weed out all, if not most, of those players that are only there because they can't get paid professionally in the U.S. yet. This is one area where I think MLB has the right idea. Let's face it, there are some kids who are not cut out for college at all, and this would benefit them and those who are ready to contribute at the NBA level or would shortly. NBA and NCAA need to work something out, but doubt they do.
Yes!
Some kind of developmental league!

Good idea, but in that case why not just let them go straight to the draft like they used to do before they implemented the "one and done" rule?

If UNC's 04-05 season is vacated. That means the 05 championship game was practically an exhibition game, as it did not count. Therefore, the Illini pretty much won the NCAA tourney that year! Yeah! Let's bring out the champagne! 10 year belated title celebration, baby!

If UNC does get their championship vacated, I start referring to the "05 team that were champions and only lost to Ohio State off a last second shot

I wouldn't want to be awarded a title retroactively. That team didn't earn a title, they didn't WIN a title. What would be the point?

They beat Louisville. The next game was against ineligible players, cant help but get retroactively awarded.;)

And remember, UNC ran a B10 gauntlet to the championship. Teams beaten by UNC are really the only ones that can take the claim from the 2nd place team... and Illinois beat them, too. ;)

The championship won't be vacated because at some point McCants will be coaxed by UNC to retract his statement and swear that what he declared never happened and the NCAA will perform a token investigation and hope everything simply goes away.

This is why I have lost major interest in college athletics. When guys like Calipari and Pitino are idolized there is something wrong with your product.

I really never understand the Pitino vitriol. But I surely despise everything about Cal, likely more than most.

Yeah, that's going to be a problem. UNC itself admitting that others who were not cooperating with the previous investigation might be somewhat more willing. Ouch. Their administration had better wipe this out or they're going to be in serious trouble.
