On the postgame today, Brad Underwood sounded certain they'd have a game before Northwestern. This is an awfully long layoff. They have to be able to find someone to play in the interim, right?
Both Nebby and MSU have a full week this week. It would have been nice to get one in thoughWe need to pick up one of the other teams we missed. No need for another ten-day layoff.
Technically, MSU has home games on the 9th and 13th, so they could theoretically squeeze in a 3rd on the 11th, since they're supposed to try to make up the games anyway. It'd be tight for them, but it's not like there are any other schedule gaps for them to add games anyway. Both Nebby and MSU have a full week this week. It would have been nice to get one in though
Loyola next weekend...?We will have a game before this one.
True, but Michigan is open until Sunday. Both Nebby and MSU have a full week this week. It would have been nice to get one in though
My money is on MSU on Thursday (would be a full week for them, but still possible) or a TBD local(ish) teamLoyola next weekend...?
Won't be nonconferenceLoyola next weekend...?
Can we book them too?Houston played Our Lady of the Lake today. Is that a real school??
That is me and my buddies Sunday league team. But sure we are open next weekend too.Houston played Our Lady of the Lake today. Is that a real school??
Exactly. I have zero sympathy for them. Fit the game in now or forfeit.Technically, MSU has home games on the 9th and 13th, so they could theoretically squeeze in a 3rd on the 11th, since they're supposed to try to make up the games anyway. Should be who has the most wins at end of the season wins. Not Illinois fault if the other schools can't manage their Covid situation. It‘s been reported that % will “likely” determine the winner. I’ve seen no official statement of that fact, but it was reported by the Athletic.
I got a chuckle from this post on Michigan board...So I guess we have a 9 day gap till next game....would be nice to reset NW game to next weekend.... FWIW alot of Mich fans were also eager to see our game, but that hope is over for next week.

According to Rival the Feb 11 game vs Illinois has been canceled.mgoblog.com
Would you still be saying this if Illinois is a win or two short because some of their cancelations don't get made up?Should be who has the most wins at end of the season wins. Not Illinois fault if the other schools can't manage their Covid situation.
Yes I would, I don't think a another team should get punished for another teams problem.Would you still be saying this if Illinois is a win or two short because some of their cancelations don't get made up?
Right but that's the point. Illinois has 3 cancelations, all due to other teams. What if two of those don't get made up and we end up 14-4. Another team ends up with all 20 played, 15-5. By your method, we would lose based on two games cancelled, due to Covid issues on other teams.Yes I would, I don't think a another team should get punished for another teams problem.
