Yep. Went to Jefferson HS. Nicest kid you could ever meet. Known Jarrod since he was a freshman in HS. I hate Iowa with a passion but it has been nice watching him develop into a national star.

I was actually surprised he commited to Wisconsin in the first place. I know he actually liked Illinois but apparently Bruce never seriously recruited him. I know we offered but who knows. He is such a good kid though. I felt awful for him last night when the Maryland student section chanted "You are ugly" while he was shooting free throws. Mostly because, believe it or not, that kinda stuff actually gets to him. They should have saved that for Woodbury. :thumb:

Our three most aggressive defensive players are on the bench. TA, MT and LB. Granted the last two are not lock down defenders - but they set the tone. MT was the loudest player on the court during his brief re-entry. This team lacks passion on D and in general without those guys. MH is not a leader, I thought KN had the fire when he got into a few scraps (PSU) - but that hasn't lasted. When is the last time you saw a hard (get that sh*t out of here) foul or block?
The Illinois bench was outscored by OSU 30-8. Lack of depth was a major issue in this game.
I live in Maryland, and got my second degree from UMD. I can tell you from personal experience, they are the Philadelphia Eagles fans of college hoops. They may do some clever stuff, but they are mean-spirited and ugly fans.
