Brad doesn't know what's going to happen when he presses any button on his Coaching Machine. We have a lot of good players but no identity or calling card at all.

We're nowhere even close to being a conference championship type team.

Penn State isn't better than Texas, but the gap isn't giant. A 4 seed versus a 10 seed.

But all in all we wouldn't have deserved the ranking we'd have gotten by winning this game, so lets hope it starts to be a catalyst to find something reliable within our group.

We'll keep trying hard, we know that much, and that's a place to start.
This makes no sense. If we would have won this game, your pessimism would have been your own conjecture and not evidenced, as it was today.

I’m as annoyed as anyone else, but people here are talking like we’re a Bubble team because we’re still finding ourselves?

Penn State shot lights out, our D was bad, our O was bad. We need a reliable go to scorer badly and we don’t have one right now. Can’t have someone like TSJ showing up only half the time. Someone needs to step up and just take over or we’re going to have some more losses like this.

Let’s relax, FFS. Texas is good. UCLA is good. Maryland and UVA are good, and we hung with each.

We have plenty to work on, but why do people desperately need to think in black and white and exaggerate? We have things to work on, and we need to find consistency. Leave it at that.
Yeah we’re just a young talented team (with key transfers) going through growing pains. Unfortunately, inconsistency is a byproduct of that.

The Illinois way. Almost beat Michigan on the road, get worked by MSU and Purdue at home.

I normally would be okay with this stance, but they're now 10 games in and have no real offense and lay eggs for large portions of the game. We played well in spurts to pull out the Texas and UCLA game, but we can't keep doing this. Relax is for teams that have a veteran presence that can calm us down, we've yet to see that consistently from any of our "elite" players. We can still recover, but a loss to Penn State at home is a cause for some concern.

Shameful performance from the coaches all the way down to the equipment manager. You can't let Penn Effing St come in and torch the nets.
OK that’s what I thought. Underwood got outcoached. Made zero adjustments - just impotently screamed at his players and randomly subbed people in. PSU schemed the hell out of our D and we didn’t respond.

Bubble team is too strong. We will get wins because we're talented and aggressive and tough to contain.

But like, we were awful in that Texas game. We don't consistently play good basketball because we don't consistently know where scoring is coming from.

Yep, can't just show up and win. The next game is the most important.

We basically got beat by an "old man" team. They knew their advantage, and we didn't answer. Yeah, them shooting the lights out didn't hurt either.

Learn and move on.
