LOL... Leonardo's thick crust is the closest you can get to something like Malnati's in Peoria.
Thin crust is decent as well.

Why do I get so hungry when reading this thread about a basketball game?
One of my best friends in college had his brother come down for a visit once. They ordered and were as sober as could be. He put a napkin under the piece of pizza he picked up and the grease literally soaked through the napkin.

to teypey, That's ok, I hate to admit it but I just now realized it was not on until Friday. I feel pretty lucky though, I almost drove the two hours there tonight to watch it, I would be embarrassed but I am too old for that to bother me anymore.

Both Agatucci's and Aurelio's are good pizza, if you eat it there. Getting it to go, for some reason both pizzas lose quite a bit, IMO.
Not sure why.
I do like Aurelio's lunch buffet. Good stuff.

For those who believe Monical's is the best, it's not. Far from it as I don't think it's good. Pagliai's is still the go-to place for pizza in Charleston. Another place that serves good pizza that doesn't deserve enough praise is Casey's General Store. There is a Casey's on the southeastern side of Charleston on Route 130 for those that are interested.

I am partial to thin crust pizza and I have traveled to every state but Delaware, Hawaii, and Alaska (and just finished a week in Italy) and I have yet to find a thin crust pizza...when done right and served fresh....that compares to Monicals. That cracker thin crunch is unique and freakin' delicious.
So, I'm not saying it's "the best", and i'm not comparing it to Chicago casserole pizzas. It also holds a special place because of it's ties to Champaign.
Also, beat EIU.
Agatucci's does not have deep dish, just good af pizza.
Casey's is criminally underrated. They make everything fresh every day, and it's a freaking gas station. I love blowing the mind of my Chicago area friends by getting Casey's pizza when they're down visiting.
