After every game Trayce has been writing the name of the next opponent on a white board for his teammates to see as they walk into the locker room. It's his way of reminding them to focus on the game that will be at hand instead of self congratulating.

I'm fairly certain that a team as successful as Illinois has been this year is not especially concerned with an opposing player reminding his teammates who the next game is against, or the opposing coach pronouncing a silent consonant.

Peace
Thanks for the invitation to get on a hoosier board and nit the pick out of it

Also, Assembly Hall will be on full-blast for this one. It will have a big-game atmosphere.

It's been over three years since Illinois has played in Assembly Hall when there have been fans in the stands. Only Frazier and Williams were on the Illinois roster back then. That may add an interesting dynamic; it had a real effect on a veteran Purdue team.
What will be interesting is when and if the hoosiers can win a game away from their home court this year, besides Nebraska I mean

I would think a man with Woodson's experience has heard the correct pronouncement of a neighboring state at least once or twice in his life , but then again he is from loosierland .....Having a loosier fan come over here and condescend show's why I have never considered loosierland as a competent rival , mentally speaking......I guess that misspelling on the football jersey's of their own state is pretty telling......

When he arrived he was touted as a 3 pt shooter. Never mentioned as a post player. Is there someone here who knows this or an assumption based on his limited usage as an emergency replacement?
I think the touting mostly came from this board. He made a couple nice shots and then was injured and started moving up the ranks of the all time best players not on the court.

Two things. First, he’s had foot injuries that have significantly affected his foot speed. Because of that it’s very difficult for him to move around a lot. For that reason, it’s hard to play him anyone but near the hoop.

Second, recruits are touted as all sorts of things before they actually get on the court. Many of which are hyperbole (especially when coming out of BU’s mouth).

Oh and third, he’s strong as f.

That’s the first I’ve heard his injuries have slowed his foot speed. Can you expound on that? I thought it was a bone fracture, but I don’t see why that would permanently slow a person down if it had healed.

I second that. I love BU and he loves his players.

He definitely touted BBV as a shooter and as a 3. I don't think anyone actually thought BBV would ever be a 3 here.

Well I think we'll be able to handle the Loosiers tomorrow at Bloomington....but if we win only 1 of the next 2 away games...I'll take a loss against Indy and a win in West Lafayette....think we would be better off with a split with Prudent and a loss to Indy than a win against Indy and 2 losses to the Boilers....but if I have my choice, I'll take wins over both and just keep on trucking.....go Illini....plan on being in Bloomington with my O&B on rooting for a win!!....Kind of pumped

ESPN (probably the least reliable) gives us a 53% chance

I’d actually be more worried about BBV’s negative impact on offense if he played the 4. I could see him doing OK against Race on D, but I don’t remember him playing much if any 4 this year. So asking him to play 4 without much practice seems to me would lead to either bogging down things and/or messing badly with spacing.
Yeah, that's why I was kind of wondering out loud if it would even be feasible

This one worries me - it can be a trap game between WI and PU. IU has been playing awfully well lately. I expect we'll see another Davis parading to the FT line.

Need to bring our A game.
It’s no trap game, we might lose but not because we overlooked them.
1. Border state rivalry game.
2. Great atmosphere, the type of road games you love as a player.
3. National game on ESPN.
4. One win closer to a conference title.
