Good. Maybe it'll fire him up.Don't think it's been posted yet but I expect Luke Goode to hear the boo's every time he touches the ball

I'm thinking that shot was a bit longer than 25 feet. But never mind; Indiana's big mistake--and it was a huge one--was not guarding Bardo when he threw the ball in from the baseline.I was 5 rows up mid court went Nick Anderson nailed 25 footer to beat Indiana in 1989. 17,000 Hoosiers went dead silent. Best $150 bucks I ever spent.
Jay Edwards had just hit an impossible jumper from behind the backboard to tie the game with 2 seconds left.
There was a big snowstorm that day so driving to and from Bloomington Indiana was messy. The Flying Illini were AWESOME

I agree. I'd also hate to have Purdue talk about the 2-0 record if we win either the BTT or regular season title.Well I think we'll be able to handle the Loosiers tomorrow at Bloomington....but if we win only 1 of the next 2 away games...I'll take a loss against Indy and a win in West Lafayette....think we would be better off with a split with Prudent and a loss to Indy than a win against Indy and 2 losses to the Boilers....but if I have my choice, I'll take wins over both and just keep on trucking.....go Illini....plan on being in Bloomington with my O&B on rooting for a win!!....Kind of pumped

Are all of you in the GAME-MODE attitude yet ?????..................It's dem stupid loosiers and we're gonna kick their striped butts ...............
That's the ticket!
Maybe we follow the Mich ‘89 model that they used on us. (Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that)I agree. I'd also hate to have Purdue talk about the 2-0 record if we win either the BTT or regular season title.
This is going to be a very interesting game. Indiana has been exceptional at home and we've been suspect, to be kind, on the road. Games at Nebraska, Northwestern and Maryland (no Kofi) are concerning. This is a good Indiana team. I think people (nationally) are fooled because Indiana doesn't have a number in front of their name. The odds makers aren't fooled. It's basically a pick 'em.
Frazier and Plummer HAVE to break this string of average to below average performances. They both have to have a significant impact.
Until I see this team put a complete 40(I'll take 35) minutes together on the road and avoid the elongated droughts....it's hard to pick us.
This could just be the waiting for the other shoe to drop fear as we, as Illini fans, have been mired in(though I'm coming around to having a more confident train of thought). I see:
Indiana. 75
Illinois. 65
It'll be a close game until we go on the 7-9 minute scoring drought, combined with suspect free throw shooting that will give IU a margin to play with at the end. PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG GUYS!!!?
When he was recruited, it was late in the cycle. The info on him that I recall was that he was an all-court player and never mentioned as a 5 type. Described as smart, strong, athletic, and could shoot. Likely, he still can if he were to work on his perimeter shot or mid-range game. But, that is not needed at all on this team. BBV deserves some love for not only his willingness but his understanding of how he can help his team win. In the meantime, he has gone from an pretty much unknown roster filler to an Illini hoops hero how we can all admire....and becoming a true B1G warrior who simply knows what to do and when to do it.. and does! Guys like BBV, Omar, Goode, RJ, and Podz are what make teams really good. In the kind of program BU is trying to build from 4 years players, the guys who check in with the scorer must be efficient and aggressive....and we have not seen an Illini bench so deep and talented in decades....maybe never. When he arrived he was touted as a 3 pt shooter. Never mentioned as a post player. Is there someone here who knows this or an assumption based on his limited usage as an emergency replacement?
I'll have no problem with that if we beat them in the BTT. I still enjoy recalling how we s&^tcanned Michigan twice in '89 during the reg season, including by 16 pts on Senior Day in Ann Arbor, but it is, of course, of little consolation.Maybe we follow the Mich ‘89 model that they used on us. (Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that)
